Ouch! Cut by my Voshkod! Today's shave was going very well. I was quite pleased with the smoothness of a new Voshkod blade in my DE89 when I started to use too much pressure and go too fast and Ouch! -- a half-inch vertical cut above my lip. I finished my shave with more respect for my smooth but sharp blade. The cut didn't bleed much at first, and an application of My Nick is Sealed took care of it. Thursday, July 20 Gem Push Button GEM (Pella Coated) (d2) Arko Boosted Classic Brand Menthol SS Vulfix 2235 Super Badger Osage Rub Stephans Island Lime Excellent shave. I decided to try the Classic Brand Menthol soap I got with a mug purchase. I shredded it, and added 3/4 a stick of Arko. The lather and menthol coolness now are excellent. Great for these hot summer days.
Hey man...Hows that tendonitis doing...Don't like hearing you're in pain...Sure you're not to fond of it either.. Is the inflamation going down?? You're using enough Menthol to probably help with your pain aswell as freeze your face... Hope you get back to normal soon, my friend...

Going to replace it with a badger hair knot because the clear acrylic Semogue handle is very nice. If it weren't for the handle, I would have thrown the brush in the trash. Just really tired of the shedding with this brush.
Neglected Champion Soap: TOBS Sandalwood Cream Brush: Kent BK4 Razor: 1912 GEM Blade: GEM Aftershave:TOBS Sandalwood Using some father's day stuff (TOBS Sandalwood) from the daughter before I have to explain why I haven't. Actually, the TOBS Sandlewood products are outstanding. The AS is great even in a Texas summer. A fine shave from this little GEM as always. I've been ignoring it for the last several months and that's my bad.
Gem OC MicroMatic Gem Stainless PTFE (1) Omega 49 - Big Red Arko Shave Stick in an OS mug Alum Superior 70 Bay Rum (Boosted) The maiden voyage of Big Red was not bad at all. I made two test lathers that removed the majority of the smell, but there was still a little left. Unfortunately the Arko was not able to mask it. Once that brush breaks in, it should perform like a champ. It's definitely worth the $9. It's only been about a dozen shaves with the OC MicroMatic, but it just feels right. I love the shave I get from it. I don't understand the overly aggressive reputation this razor commands. The only irritation I get is with a fresh blade. I attribute that to the blade rather than the razor. I would give tonight's shave a solid 3.5. If the brush was defunked and had a day 2 blade it could have easily been 4.5.

The Barbon aftershave has one of the nicest barbershop scents, as well as a hell of a menthol effect.
Thanks - I'm feeling better! Lloyd, thanks for your concern, and by the way, I feel quite a bit better. My arm is still sore, but it's far less painful.

Friday's Shave Cool Shower Arko Shave Stick/Arko Max.Comf.SC Omega 10029 1955-58 Schick I2 Injector Long's Drugs/Personna (Day5) Arko Nem moisturizer/Arko Aqua AS/Rebul Lavanda Cologne/Guerlain Habit Rouge EdT This week has really been filled with the closest shaves...At times maybe taking the exfolliating thing a hair too far. But a BBS of the highest order, maybe a tad too tender to rub much but absolutely no stubble anywhere... Today I believe was the best shave of the week...A slightly lower impact shave but still rivaling the closeness... I took my time and did a very good prep...After a shower, and washing my face several times with hot soapy water, I face lathered the Arko till I looked like Santa...After a couple minutes I added the Shave Cream to the lather filled brush and hit my face again only adding to the thickness of the lather already there... When I preceded to do my first pass, the Schick just glided and I could not detect any feelings of a razor blade. I rinsed with HOT water between each pass and reapplied the thick luxuriant uberlather...Samething...No feeling of a blade ever...even on the ATG pass... Todays shave was just way too much fun...But then I always have fun with this Injector...And the results were "All Round Best Shave The Week"...:happy102 And this time I can't keep my hands off my face...
