    Just done my day shave.

    Somersets Tough Beard Preshave Oil
Mitchell's Wool Fat shaving soap with a couple of drops of Axe Medicated oil

    Sunday:

    Gillette Tech razor
    Asco Orange blade
    Vulfix 375S brush
    TBS Maca Root SC
    Osage Rub
    Musgo Real Orange/Amber Cologne

Nice shave but 3 shaves is the limit on a Asco Orange blade. Now to finish getting ready for church

Yeah, I haven't had luck with the Bics either. I do pretty well with most blades but that one is maybe my worst.

    Sunday, a new old soap

    Vintage Williams
    Omega boar brush
Schick G6 injector with NOS Pal stainless blade

First impressions of the vintage Williams. It's at least 34 years old judging from the bicentennial promotion that came with it. Slightly musty smell, which may get better now that it's being used. Excellent lather. The paper that it was wrapped in had soaked in tallow from the soap and was very hard to get off. I peeled as much as I could, and had to scrape the rest, throwing any little pieces of soap that came off at the bottom of the mug.

    Omega Wooden Handle

    Vifrex-AS Gel :love008 :love008 :anifrozen :anifrozen
    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
    Grey Flannel-EDT

When I woke up this morning, my beard was as hard as barbed wire--now, you cannot feel even one trace of stubble. I am almost as smooth as my wife and daughter. By the way, this Palmolive Menthol cream and Vifrex gel are a formidable face-freezing combination! ;) :D

Boker Red Injun 102/1912 Gem Jr. (Fat Handle) for the dome
    Semogue 2000
    Nana June's Citrus Wake Up
    Osage Rub
    Pinaud Lime Sec

This is likely the first time I've mug lathered Nana June's. It does well being face lathered but the mug just seemed to kick it up to notches unknown. I had enough lather for 3 passes on my dome, 2 passes on my face and still plenty left over for a post shave face wash. It smells fantastic too.

Razor: 5/8 Tiger Wedge Hollow Point
    Shaving Cream: Musgo Real
    Lather Bowl: Ceramic
    Scuttle: RAB Ceramic
    Brush: Medium Badger
    ASB: Nivea Replenishing
    Aftershave: Mennen Original Skin Bracer

Super BBS shave this morning! (Probably because I shaved so late yesterday afternoon) AAR, slicker than frog smot on a doorknob! The Musgo real shave cream performed great this morning. My observation of it realized that elusive factor I call cushion. The Musgo Real had it. I could feel the razors edge moving across the skin but there was a softness that I didn't feel with the shaving soaps (except the Ogallala) that IMHO I consider the cushion. I wouldn't say the Musgo had a lot of slipperiness but it didn't feel as dry or as heavy as the soaps either. (Probably the Bentonite clay used in the soaps gives it that heaviness.) I'm not sure what the base is in the Musgo. It doesn't say on the packaging. I love this shaving cream! Not only does it perform great the scent of the Musgo is well worth the price of the tube! Wonderful scent, good performance and great price; one of my favorite creams! Great shaves shown this week by all Gentlemen. Thanks for sharing! :happy005

    Razor: D.R. Harris 3-piece
    Blade: Gillette Yellow
    Brush: Shavemac 2007 LE
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Soap: P160 Tipo Morbido
    A/S: Trumper Marlborough

This was my first time using the Tipo Morbido and I left a little too much water in the brush resulting in a thinner than ideal lather. Still though, I enjoyed a fine shave. I am looking forward to seeing how this soap performs when I nail the ratio. The Trumper Marlborough is always a pleasant finish.

    Shavette Saturday!

    Parker shavette
    Shark stainless blade
    VDH boar brush
    Ogallala Bay Rum soap
    Nivea Sensitive ASB

OK shave today. I've had better. I think my lather was too dry. The Shark did well and the Nivea kept away the burn. Just missed a few spots in the usual places :(

    Have a great day!

Very nice relaxing Sunday shave today. :)

I dialed the Futur down just a touch today, and ended up missing a few stragglers, so I knocked er down to a 4.5 blade shave. Still, considering what I have to look forward to today, this will probably be the highlight of my day.

    • EJ DE89
    • Astra Superior Platinum
    • New Forest 2201 Two Band Badger
    • TSD Lime Cream
    • Alum Block
    • TSD Iced Lime Aftershave
    • TOBS Victorian Lime Cologne

    Meh... 3.5

I had to really work for the lather, less water next time. The scent was great.

Blade had gunk/wax/glue whatever on it, not just on the blade but on the shaving edge. I had to clean it off with Alcohol before I used it. I hate that. Eventually got to BBS but not the smoothest shave ever...not by a long shot.

TSD Iced Lime deserves all the praise it gets. :signs021
