Wow, you are a cool customer for sure. My nerves would be shot.

On a shaving note, what do you think about the F&C Shambala? I looking to add a good citrus AS after NBJ.

    Tyr's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Invigorating Face Wash, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Simpsons 56 Best Badger
    Lather: RazoRock One-X croap
Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC OC
    Blade: Bic (3)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (6, 7, 8)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock One-X AS splash
    Cologne: Burberry Brit

I have maybe 2 or 3 more shaves left from this particular jar of the One-X croap; luckily there are 3 more jars in my den. Excellent lather again today, and with 2 days' growth, I opted to go ATG on the 3rd pass, which is becoming a rarity for me. Admittedly, in deference to the scar tissue on my upper lip, the mustache area got two XTG passes instead. The results, on day 3 of the Bic's use, were nearly BBS without any irritation or bloodshed, needing only a minor touch-up low on the throat.

OMG, after shaving with the Glacial Spearmint soap I think I have a built-in air conditioner in my face - that's the sensation I got. The Rubby Dubby Doo increased that freeze ten times. What a heavenly BBS shave! :Animatedfrozensmily: :happy088:

Mighty fine shave today. Been on vacation in hard water areas for the past week or so. Nice to get back to my soft water at home. Amazing how much difference the water makes.

Brush: Morris & Forndran 3/1 Faux Tortoise & "Finest"

I am so grateful to have "discovered" wet shaving at this point in my life with "retirement" somewhat forced upon me by mother nature. But, as in all endeavors, it's the people you meet, you touch, and connect with that carries the true worth of process. Thanks guys.

How do you like the Mystic Water? I've read varying reports on how easy it is, or isn't, to lather.

CRSW Original-Bergamot & Bay today. 20 seconds to load the ER Silvertip. Great, easy, thick, lather. I loaded a new 7 O’Clock Blue SP in the Fatboy. Great smooth, close, shave. I finished with CC Sweet Water.

Nice and frosty shave this morning. This morning had two firsts and pleasantly surprised by both; the new Stirling 26mm synthetic and the Glacial Lemon Chill ASB. Rod's synthetic is what I would call the big brother to The Grooming Co. 25mm synthetic but at nearly 1/3rd the cost. The TGC is 25/50 I liked as it has soft tips like a Plisson, set lower and denser than a Plisson and Rod's new brush has nearly if not the same soft tips, dense like the TGC so not a floppy beast and advertised at 26mm and if you compare the handles the design appears to be the similiar just that the Stirling handle is much bigger and nice heft to it. I measured mine yesterday as it looked a tag bigger and mine at the knot hole is 27.67mm but I forgot to measure the loft but I believe @ObiDon stated it is 63mm. This brush plowed through the Glacial Mojito (Stirling based) whipped up another lather for a 5/6 pass shave but pillow soft on the face and neck. I don't know if Rod set price is going to stay at $19.95 but I think this brush is a steal at this price. If you like the Plission but find it too soft, do yourself a favor and buy this brush.

As for the Lemon Chill, really like it but I felt it needed a tad more menthol kick so I added some of my homemade menthol additive to kick it up a notch. Again, another fine product from Stirling and well worth the price.

image.jpg Razor: Gillette Goodwill #162 1934 (4 corner positioning posts)
    Brush: Stirling Synthetic 26/63
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Cream: Truefitt&Hill Grafton
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, Old Spice Lime original Shulton cologne Frosted Glass 1960s

The Goodwill shaves me like my LC and like the LC you have to watch the angles, for a smooth shave. Loaded a Feather blade, and checked the alignment. The Stirling is a large knot, and much longer than my WD 30/45. I soaked the brush in hot water, for a minute not knowing what to expect, and let it drip out for a few seconds while I put a dollop of cream in the wide OS mug. The Stirling whipped up the Grafton into a nice lather in no time, and I like the weight and feel of the handle. The brush is very soft on my face and neck with some good backbone for such a long knot. I use mostly creams so it works great for me. Got a nice two pass shave with some touchup on my trouble spot on my neck. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup and a shower, some JB balm, and some OS talc. Finished up with some Vintage Old Spice Lime from the '60s. If you a nice synthetic brush, I recommend this brush, as it works great, cleans up fast, and you can't beat the price. All in all a Stirling shave. Y'al have a good one!
