Today's shave was perfect in every way. Haven't had a shave this great in a long time. Lather from War Blend is super dense and by far my favorite offering from Soap Smooth. Scent is a menthol barbershop cologne that smells nice and has just the right amount of menthol, and paired beautifully with the SV Felce balm. Hope everyone had a great shave!

After a long day out with the gang yesterday, today is a day of relaxation. I tried the tip of freezing the travel scuttle with water and it worked great this morning. The lather was nice and cool when applied to the face and it felt fantastic. The orange scent is prefect for Florida and the Eclipse always delivers an outstanding shave. Off to the pool soon.

**Tuesday Night Shave**
- The fine Canadian folks at the 'ITALIAN BARBER' Web Store has some new items in stock, sold only in Italy - NOXZEMA Conditioning Shave Cream, and Noxzema pre-shave balm that is very similar to Proraso's pre shave (box says it's good for sun burns too). I was amazed by the shave cream! Very slick, great fresh scent, great post shave & my skin felt so soothed.. For 7.99 USD, grear deal for a Euro Import.

The cream is nothing special, typical euro cream.... the balm/Splash is amazing..it is a emulsion type of thing, awesome cologne drakkar like scent and very soothing..

Tonight the search for variety led me to LaToja stick, made very nice lather. Slick enough, smelled terrific. I think it could of been a bit more cushiony. As i said, the scent is very nice, and the softness of my face afterward is remarkable. Three passes with the Matador, a bit bitey on my chin, and as i write this maybe a little razor burned. But I'm pretty leathery, I'll bounce back pretty quick. I finished with iced Nivea. Not my best comfort, but very smooth and smellin' nice.

A first class shave that was relaxing and refreshing. The Variant has a proven design (Merkur derived) that delivers time after time without a single issue. I truly believe that if this razor was assembled and made completely of a higher grade alloy (SS, Brass, Titanium) it would be in most shavers top 5. It’s that good IMHO.
