    Saturday Camping SOTN

Well, you're supposed to rough it while camping right?? Second night "roughing" it with this gear. Not pictured is my shave soap... Which you guessed it was forgotten at home . I used my no name generic body wash. Let's just say I was lucky with just one slight nick with only two passes on both nights. Not brave enough for a third . It'll pass for somewhat smooth. Night all!

Alluvian Norwigian Spear for todays shave. Allivian is a soap you dont see much in the SOTD theads which may be due to the cost ($36 new) but was lucky enough to find this tin on the BST a while back and it is perhaps goimg to make its way back to the BST so someone else can give it a try.

the scent is Spearmint with Irish Moss. Very nice scent and if you like Spearmint this is right up your alley.

perfoemance is not bad but not what one would expect from a soap of this price which is up there with Seabum, ABC, MDC, and Nuavia as far as cost is concerned. The soap lathers quickly due to the coconut oil & steric content, despite the added butters and oils the slickness is not the best but was good enough to provide a decent drama free shave. Finished off with Gingers Garden Desert Heat which has a fruity fresh clean scent that smells nice and is soothing on the skin, olus comes in a huge 6oz bottle that almost looks like a shampoo bottle. Very good stuff!

Hope yall had a swell shave!

Thanks brother! Travis was kind enough to include a huge sample of Spicy Vetiver when i ordered the Amyris, it is a very peppery Vetiver and can understand why you would use it sparangly although this soap is firm enough to have excellent longevity.

    Awesome setup!

Pure class with that setup Steve! That Ruby Red Creeper sounds like a awesome mix of Grapefruit & cooling agent, THB takes the cake when it comes to presentation.

The Brandy Clubman is much too sweet and fruity IMO and not what you would expect from the name. Whiskey Woods is my favorite of the new Pinaud aftershaves, it does change a bit over time so keep that in mind Paul in case you dont care for the innitial scent.

That is a Wilkenson Sword Classic razor, I believe.

I think they are one of the coolest looking DE tools ever created. I should get myself one sometime.

    Great shave!

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #371 Badger/Boar brush. I did two passes with the 1907 Gem Jr. Lather Catcher Lather Catcher razor with a Vintage Gem Cutlery SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
