    The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #414 silvertip brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Techmatic razor with a Techmatic Band blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Clubman Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    I am often skeptical about little known brands with vegetable soaps. Do not know why.
    And you seem not too enthusiastic about their normal production...

    waterlyptus seems like a perfect fragrance for the heat we have had lately. Combined with my Karve c and home made brush, I have a near perfect shave. Some witch hazel and clubman IMG_20200731_061203.jpg finish off the start of my day.

    RAZOR: DD Goldedge (Mug), Hawk V3 (Dome & Mug Cleanup)
    BLADE: Feather Super AC
    PREP: Cold water rinse followed by Rabid Banana Preshave Cube
    BRUSH: Alpha Shaving T-400 Tribute w/ 24mm Synthetic Knot Ferrule
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat w/ 6 drops of M-Bomb
    POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Mentholated Mysterium Serum.

    I am always on the lookout for backups myself. I use the PAA Cube pre-shave soap so that I can "load light" on the Deal Maker soap. The PAA pre-shave soap can power a shave all by itself, so I can control how much of the rare Deal Maker soap I use. That's one of the main uses I found for the PAA Cube.

    Can it be that RazoRock's best performing soap is also it's least expensive? All of them are fine performers at reasonable prices, but Amici really stands out IMHO.

    Soap: Italian Barber Amici
    Brush: Omega 10065 synthetic
    Razor: RazoRock German 37 slant
    Blade: Astra SP (6)
    Aftershave: Italian Barber Amici

    Razor:     Star bar #4 model lather catcher (Kampfee brothers NY)- Mfg 1920- Excellent lather catcher, great audio, good daily driver!
    Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(3) excellent blade, [​IMG]
    Soap: Razorock Lavender - one of my favorites. great scent and lather qualities.
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft 24 mm- great inexpensive brush that I have been using for almost 4 years, marvelous!
    Preshave: Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on beard area.
    Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
    Post shave: Razorock King Louis Lavender aftershave with witch hazel + a tiny dollop of Nivea balm.
    Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=[​IMG]Excellent shave with my Star bar lather catcher.

    A simple easy shave today. Used my custom brush I designed and got more than enough lather in my Custom Scuttle I made after Chris was nice enough to send me an original prototype of his now famous moss scuttle that I haven't stopped staring at and honestly am afraid to use because of the history of it..
    I will work up the nerve at some point to use the scuttle from Chris but for now I'm using this one that cost me a whole .75 cents..Since I was being lazy and hadn't shaved in a week these blades sliced through the week worth of stubble I had..
