Thanks, but the razor isn't new, Joe, it is a Gillette NEW from the 30s.

 

DE SOTD, Thur, July 1st 2021

Razor: Razorock SLOC- Mfg 2017, excellent tame mid range, this is one of my favorite dual open combs, best all around for daily shaving possibly and excellent razor how to learn using a DE razor & enjoyable by seasoned shavers IMO. Carefree shaving IMO.
Blade: Gillette silver blue(4) sharp & Smoooth with reasonable longevity. Excellent blade. Hard to beat GSB performance IMO.
Soap: Razorock Lavender(discontinued?) excellent masculine scent, excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Lucky dice 26mm tuxedo knot, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, good scrub, excellent lather painter + nice brush for fellows with larger hands. Very enjoyable brush to use this morning. Hard to beat a 24mm Tuxedo knot if not sure about synthetics brushes. Glad I bought it for a nice change up.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser, great soap to use when eyes feel acidic from oily skin & sweat, using a dedicated Yaqi 24mm Cashmere brush(excellent brush for this)+ a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG +ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Witch hazel + Razorock King Louis Lavender + a tiny dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers =excellent shave with my RR SLOC with a GSB coated blade.

Great shave by a great razor. The soap is losing its scent but considering its one of my oldest soaps its to be expected i guess. The good thing is that it performs extremely well. Soo bbs has been achieved and that my friends is that.
