    Greetings,

    Vintage SE razor Week.

A new shave set up to start the weekend...After a long run with my DE razors I'm making this a vintage SE razor week as it's been a while since i added them to my razor rotation.

Starting with the Micromatic OC...Like my other vintage SE razors my shaving angle is almost sliding flat against the skin using short strokes with each pass. The Gem Micromatic OC is the most efficient of all my vintage SE razors that mows down my stubble with effortless ease showing no mercy....However as with any razor i shave with regardless if it's aggressive or non-aggressive, respect good technique shaving confidence, & no pressure is essential.

A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable near BBS shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

My face is feeling cool & super smooth.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Beautiful razor! I always wanted to get that very razor (Flower) as a second ABC model. I was going to have it plated in rose gold by Razor Emporium. But I have not been able to find one. I was very lucky to be able to piece-meal an "Empire" razor (my most wanted) and have Razor Emporium plate it in Rhodium. It's the one I wanted the most. Eventually I may locate and buy the "Flower" model.

The Cella Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #1 Silver Tip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the AutoStrop A2 Safety Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lucky Tiger AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    L’Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Astra Green day 6
    Pascale SC
    Prep ASB
    Aqua Velva Sport AS Splash

It’s not often that I use creams but I still enjoy certain ones now and then - this Pascale is from Bulgaria and it’s made by a company called Aroma Cosmetics. It has a very nice cologney type of scent, it lathers very easily, there’s a slight menthol sensation, and the skincare is pretty good. The Prep and the Aqua Velva Sport aftershave completed the job in fine style. Three passes cleaned me up so well and left me completely BBS!

Have a great weekend - be well and safe!

I don't think I have ever seen a silver colored VAS before, or is the lighting and towel color just faking me out? Also, if I may ask how do you like the Lucky Tiger A/S compared to something like Clubman?

Both razors delivered nearly identical results on each side of my face. Both feel different but, they get to the same result and that is a BBS finish. I don’t think you can give yourself a bad shave with either one of these razors. As a daily and a couple days worth of whiskers, either one will most definitely work except for the thickest of beards out there. Economically priced even though the Winning Razor is nearly half the cost of the Merica which makes it perhaps the best deal in wet shave land.

Both are worth the price of admission……

Soap: Razorock The Dead sea, unique scent, with excellent lather qualities, one of my favorite soaps.

    7oclock Blue

    Soap: WSP Lavender
    Post: lavender witch hazel

    Post: home made preshave oil

Ok this was simply the worst shave ever. I started with one pass with the shavette and with a derby and yeah. It was as if a paraplegic blind man shaved me. I thought i was being careful.. i thought i was being smooth… But by the end of the first pass i had weepers, cuts, and my skin was on fire. Man o man did i feel like a cucumber being peeled for a salad. The soap was great and the cremo was nice but i had to stop and go to the Tech for the second pass and finally the R41 to smooth it out. I know what you are thinking… the r41 did more damage, but i assure you that it didnt. My face was stinging just from rinsing with cold water. Once i applied the aftershave…. Like a thousand bee stings.. i yelled out.. it stung bad. Lol
