Here my belated Wednesday Shave (13.07.2022)


Razor: Gillette Fat Handle Tech // Blade: Personna red // Soap: Chiseled Face Ghost Town Barber // Brush: custom made Synthetic // Aftershave: Fine American Blend

Another fantastic shave. The soap has an outstanding scent and great cushion, glide and skincare. Top notch soap!!! The brush is a Synthetic a buddy made for me. The tips are not that soft like a Plisson type knot, but they are fine. Making lather with it was no problem.

3 passes later i am 98% BBS and the Aftershave smells super nice too.

The De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap lathered well with Bunny B-400 Badger Brush by Tom. Two passes and touch ups with the Supply SE Injector Razor with a Supply Black Label Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Oh la la what a Grand Freeze this was from start to finish - the mentholated pre shave soap from Stirling started the ball rolling, the Glacial Black Cherry soap’s lovely scent filled the bathroom, its tallow based lather was so rich, super slick and protective, the menthol sensation hit me like a ton of icy cold bricks, and the postshave feeling was superb. The Prep…what can I say - it’s so wonderful, and the Snake Bite aftershave is pretty much unscented so it won’t interfere with any fragrance you wear and it’s mega frigid. The Cypress & Vetiver cologne from Proraso earned me big kisses from my darling wife. Another tip top BBS shave from this awesome Tech!

Razor : Razorock game changer.84- Mfg 2018> excellent tame mid range, well constructed of 316 SS, machining QC top notch with a nice shave handling, excellent results paired with a Extra wide Kai SS blade drives it up notch in performance, audio feedback is awesome with this blade(sizzling sound of whiskers getting sliced).
Blade : Kai SS (2) extra wide compared to the standard Gillette Astra blade by 9/1000 of a inch or 4.5/1000 per side for that extra efficentcy and blade feel I enjoy using a steep angle, very nice razor with excellent results. Great for those mild razors you have that do not get used as much.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer, nice mid range scent with excellent lather qualities, designed for Yaqi by Master soap creations SA.
Brush : Yaqi Robin 24mm boar bristle brush, excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle hair, great scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi musketeer AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my RR GC.84 with a Kai SS extra wide blade.

Face Lather.
Lather : Scottish Fine Shaving Soap.
Blade: Personna PTFE SS. (D3.)
Razor: Parker InjRzr. (Settings) 3-wtg. 4-xtg/atg.+pick ups.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./ Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Brut Attraction totale ASL./Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

My introduction to injector razors earlier this year caused me to be instantly swooned by these remarkable razors.... The modern Parker InjRzr is a wonderful addition to the rest of my humble SE razor collection which has helped to further my passion for this traditional wet shaving hobby of mine.

A close comfortable smooth 2 pass + pick ups Injector razor shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth and smelling divine.

Kind of a quickie today because I soon have to leave the house for a sad occasion because it’s the unveiling of my best friend’s Mom who passed away this past September. Anyway, the Gada Cool Mint cream from Lebanon lathered like a son of a gun thanks to my wonderful Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole, the scent of this stuff is so nice - it’s lemony as well as minty, there’s a very pleasant cooling effect from it, and because it also contains chamomile it has such great soothing. Needless to say the Prep worked its own cooling and soothing magic, while the Alt Innsbruck aftershave’s lovely scent and icy cold menthol kick finished the job - strangely enough the scent of this aftershave steps aside when the Bleu de Chanel went on. Two quick passes with my Tech gave me a helluva BBS shave.

Here my Sunday Shave (17.07.2022)


Razor: Blackland Blackbird // Blade: Gillette Wilkinson India // Soap: Mitchell´s Wool Fat // Brush: custom made Deer horn synthetic // Aftershave: Pitralon

Great shave again. The blade has seen better days, so i dumped it after the shave. It was not as smooth as i hoped for, but nevertheless it was a joyful 2-pass shave. I am completely BBS.

The soap was easy to lather with this wonderful brush. Man do i love the look and the feel of this handle. Outstanding…The lather had a very good glide and cushion. I think that i do not get more than one shave out of it. Do i need it to be replaced? Maybe someday, but for the future i have more than enough stuff to use…

At the end of the shave i used my (yesterday bought) German Pitralon. I dumped the last bottle years ago because my skin was allergic to one of the ingredients…after i splashed it on my skin itched badly. This was years ago…within this time i missed this wonderful scent and yesterday i said to myself: Why not try it again? Years went by and my skin has maybe (hopefully) changed. What can i say? It did!!! Splashed on a healthy dose and enjoyed this scent. This is so fantastic. A touch of freshness combined with the woodsyness of the Cedar-Oil.

No burning, no itching, nothing…just pure skincare and this scent. I am so glad this worked out well.
