The Virgilio Valobra Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #30 Silvertip Badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Cobra Classic Razor and a Feather Professional Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Seriously guys, this Absolute Zero soap and aftershave are not for the faint of heart because they both pack a lulu of a menthol wallop - in fact they’re so intense that they easily compete with any of the the Stirling Glacial soaps and aftershaves. The scent is so nice - it’s aquatic and minty - the soap is vegan based, it’s so easy to lather, there’s lots of slickness, the freeze hits you right away and each pass makes it feel stronger, but the skincare is awesome. The Prep delivered so generously on the postshave care, and the Absolute Zero aftershave toner took this freeze to another level. Last but not least the gorgeous fragrance of the Bleu de Chanel and I’m ready to begin the week. Three passes with the brand new Rapira blade gave me a dynamite BBS shave that was such a pleasure!

MMMonday, July 10th 2023. Micromatic Monday, use any ASR razor that uses a Gem blade any day of the week!

Razor : Star bar #4 lather catcher- Mfg 1919-1929, tame mid range, well designed to last and is similar to the Gem junior bar but there are slight differences and the advantage goes to the Star brand. This is one of my favorite ASRazors with a new fresh blade. Not sure it can get much better + a decent daily driver for most folks.
Had a stellar comfortable shave this morning with my Star bar.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(1) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock Irish Countryside, nice unique scented soap with some of the best lather qualities I have used.
Brush : Yaqi "Mysterious space" 24mm, 3band silvertip, excellent lather generator, luxury pillow soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish Countryside AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + 1 blemish weeper= excellent stellar comfortable shave with my Star bar #4 with a coated Gem blade. (Does not get much better than this for a close comfortable stellar shave.)

Like the way the Seaforth! SS works but this scent is not my favorite. And I have 2 of them, why did I do that? But I do like the A/S Tonic, it works great and smells a bit different than the SS. First time out with the Featherweight in far to long. It is very light but gave me a fine shave. And new Gem Super Stainless blades are SHARP! All is well though and my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.
