Early morning face & head shave,

The Omega shaving cream created a slick protective lather, with a good kick from the Eucalyptus oil to give my ageing face & head sensors a vibrant early morning wakeup call.!

A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Arko Cool ASB.

My face is feeling cool smooth, & smelling divine.

Is this Absolute Zero soap and aftershave from Captain Nemo really that cold? Nahhh, they’re FRIGID. Guys, truth be told they’re only for a hard core menthol monkey like me because unless you’re able to tolerate and enjoy intense menthol you’re going to get shaken up. The scent is aquatic and very nice - the soap is vegan based, it lathers like a champ, the menthol sensation is so powerful that it easily compares to any of the Stirling Glacials, but the skincare is perfect. The Prep moisturized and soothed my skin beautifully, while the Absolute Zero aftershave toner went on with a MONSTROUS menthol kick. Last but not least the delightful fragrance of the Bleu de Chanel which always gets me tons of compliments and I’m ready to start my day. What a brilliant three pass BBS shave this was and now I’ll have my morning coffee!

Two passes and touch ups with the 1957 Gillette Rocket and a Gillette Nacet Stainless Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Razor : Yaqi Slope slant, 316SS semi polished with a Yaqi handle- Mfg 2023> mild to tame mid range depending on blade used, excellent accurate machining with a great finish for my shaving needs. This torsional type slant works well and even with a Kai extra wide blade my skin seems feel great after the shave with no issues. This is a compact torsional design with very few that are designed like this ever made, Closest I have seen would be the Above The Tie S2 and it is even slightly different in design.
This could be a daily driver for a lot of folks and myself included, had a close no issues shave this morning. If a person likes a little more blade the Kai extra wide blade works well.
Blade : Kai SS extra wide (3) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity, great blade if a person wants a little more blade feel or blade exposure.
Soap : Mitchell's wool fat- mild scented soap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Orbital ring" 24mm boar bristle, excellent lather generator, soft split end boar bristle hairs, great splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Fine fresh Vetiver with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my Yaqi Slope slant with a Kai extra wide blade.(cotton ball tested this morning).
