Prep: Warm shower:/ Asda Sea Salt & Fennel Extract Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
Pears with Mint Extracts Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Frank Shaving 22mm Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
Lather: Haslinger Aloe Vera Shaving Soap.
Blade: Personna Comfort Coated. (D2)
Razor: Parker 87R.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Brut Attraction Totale ASL./ Aloe Vera Cooling Gel.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

The Haslinger Aloe Vera shaving soap provided a superb lather I have two Haslinger soaps Schafmilch Sheep Milk & Aloe Vera the only difference with the Aloe Vera soap is it doesn't contain lanolin and like the Schafmilch Sheep Milk has a very faint clean fragrance when wet.

If you like a shaving soap with a strong fragrance, then you will be disappointed with Haslinger soaps ,as both soaps have a mild unique fragrance which will put some people off using.

My personal opinion though is both soaps are exactly the same in performance, slickness protection & post shave feel which for me is the most important thing in a shaving soap or cream....As always opinions are very subjective. YMMV.

Each and every shave that I've had with the Parker 87R the results have been excellent today was no exception.

A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Cooling Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

When my brother Fernando created the Vintage Spice soap and aftershave he really hit a double home run because the scent is 100% IDENTICAL to the discontinued Shulton Old Spice that I love so much. The soap’s tallow formula promotes magnificent lather that’s so thick, rich, creamy, mega slick, as well as protective, and if anything the skincare is even better than with the Old Spice soap. The Aveeno moisturizer is unscented so it doesn’t interfere with the gorgeously scented Vintage Spice aftershave. My Rapira blade reached the end of the road but it still worked well enough to help me get a great 2 pass BBS shave that I enjoyed immensely!

If you've never had one, be assured that this razor lives up to it's rep. Fairly aggressive but more so when you don't have the angle correct. The first few swipes, I thought I had it right but ended up with three decent nicks. Back the handle away and ride the cap more, it's just ultra-efficient. The only others I have that it compares with would be the 1924 and the Niellite 400 left a bit loose, but the Barbasol may have the edge on both.

No joke, 1 pass BBS (like, won't need to shave for a few days BBS), followed by alumnated witch hazel, Lucky Tiger tonic, and Old Spice Smooth Blast.

 

Your brother is MSC? I have his Faberge soap and it's perfect.

The Colgate Shaving Mug Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #434 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the 1907 Gem Jr. Lather Catcher Razor and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Granddad's Blend After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I saw the same lather catcher yesterday for under 20 bucks but I couldn't remember if a modern blade would fit, so I passed.

Sunday SE Shave, July 9th 2023

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur 50mm AC with a Yaqi Milano 316 SS Polished- Mfg 2021>, tame mid range. Simple blade clamping and machining and finish are great for my shaving needs. This little razor head is just perfect for my shaving needs 95% + of the time and it will be in my den for a long time and I have some back ups also I bought on sale months ago on the cheap. Small head parts makes me want to assemble over a wash cloth & seems to work the best. Had a stellar shave this morning with no issues.
Blade : Schick Proline - sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock Irish Countryside, nice rejuvenating interesting clean scented with excellent lather qualities. Hard to beat this soap for quality lather IMO.
Brush : Yaqi "Rainbow" 26mm brown whiskers synthetic. Excellent lather generator, luxury cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish countryside splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent stellar shave with my Yaqi Excalibur 50mm AC with a Schick proline coated blade. Good combination of razor + blade equals great results.
