The flare tip's a mild shaver, but 3 passes resulted in a DFS.

I also won mine on the Nook :) Ryan, I love the Captain's Choice Lime, it has an amazing lime and spice combination that is like 'Kapow!' when applied. I wish the scent lasted longer though :)

Well...so far the new brush did not disappoint. Extremely soft tips, and very densely packed knot. The fibers of this hair are so much thicker than what I am used to. Combine this with the density of the knot and the intermediate loft and you get a pretty solid backbone...Obviously much, much, much more that the Omega 636 that I have been using most often. In all, I have to say that I am pleased with the performance and look forward to many more great shaves with the new brush!!!

    Have a great Sunday all!

Great shave but all of these are just biding my time until I get my new baby, which I'm anxious to test out with some Shark SC's and Feathers, I may very well not want my others anymore - and if this knocks my Mergress into a sale thread I'll be VERY impressed with British Gillettes and kicking off a new addiction :happy093:

Great shave today. The Palmolive Classic is very fresh and versatile. Its not supposed to get out of the 70's here today, so I went with some Lilac to embrace the cooler day. I've been having a tough time using anything but my slim, its like 9 in one. Great weight, the head isn't cumbersome at all. Have a good rest of your Sunday all.

    Decent shave today.

Prep: hot shower, TBS Maca Root Face Wash, Alba Botanical Scrub.
    Brush: Oscar Grade A brush.
Razor: '62 Slim set on 8.
    Blade: Personna Lab.
Soap: Irisch Moos Stick (first use.)
Post: cold water rinse, Thayer's WH Lavender, Barbon AS.

I got a couple of weepers today because I got careless. I do love the Irisch Moos though. I love the scent, lather, cushion, and slickness. Since this soap is so rare, this will only be a special occasion soap for me. I got a reasonable sting when I applied the Barbon because of the weepers. They are all closed up now, so it's all good. I only did one pass because it's all I needed.

Nivea for Men Sensitive face wash
    Gillette SS '64 / Shark SS (3)
    Semogue 1520 boar
    Williams Mug soap
Old Spice shaving mug '60-70's era
    Traditional 3 passes WTG/XTG/ATG
Luke rinse, National Shaving Alum applied for 1 min., then cold water rinse
Nivea for Men Sensitive after shave balm.
It was with fear I took the first stroke. That Williams lather looks NOT like I normally see my lather.
It's way too airy and "thin" to get my confidence. However it actually performed great.
Not much protection, but adequate and slick enough for an irritation free shave.
    Very much a DFS++!

Ha! I know the feeling of the early shave! At least during the summer months, there's a glimmer of daylight in wee-early morning hours. Not so in Winter.
Busy day & time to catch-up:

    SUNDAY
Pre: hot wake-up shower, Lucky Tiger wash & hot cloth soak, no PSO
    Coffee: essential THIS morning— Peet's
    Razor: Merkur 39C SLR
    Blade: Astra SP (day 3)
    Brush: Omega 48 boar
    Soap: L'Occitane Cade soap
Shave: WTG & XTG, plus touch-up
Post: Cold water & towel dry; Pinaud Clubman aftershave & Nivea balm

No nicks, no irritation, no blood—despite my morning fog—just a DFS+!

I haven't used the Col. in a while. I should more often because I always enjoy it.

Edit: Damn, I just looked at the picture and saw that I grabbed the Amber. So I guess it's only half a bay rum day.
