    I did not enjoy the Pacific whatever. Good first pass, but it had all dissappeared off the brush by the time I went to re-lather. So I finished with S Maria (The S is for Sawesome)

    I am trying out my new Every Man Jack synthetic shave brush. The brush is a terrible bowl latherer, but a great face latherer. I don't know if it has something to do with the way that the synthetic bristles absorb product, or if there is some other reason. when I try to use the brush with a bowl it does not allow any lather to build in the bowl at all, but it does an excellent job in my palm or on my face.

    I did three passes, wtg/atg/xtg followed by a cold water rinse and an application of SAL Alum. I managed a BBS shave with zero nicks and zero irritation. The RiMei razor and Croma blade continues to be incredibly impressive. A good shave all around.

    Pre: Hot shower and warm water splash
    Razor: RiMei
    Blade: Croma Diamant
    Brush: Every Man Jack Synthetic
    Soap: Vitos Extra Super
    Post: Cold water rinse and SAL Alum

    Howdy! Is that an Omega #599? If so, what are your thoughts on the performance and backbone. Thanks! -John

    This cream is just OK for me...It is TOBS quality for lather, cushion, and slickness but would like to have a little stronger scent. The grapefruit really packs a punch and I was hoping this would be in the same ballpark...But alas, not so...Still a great cream just a very mild scent.

    Have a great day all off to lunch with SWMBO!

    I've found that synthetics are much better face-latherer's as well...

    I use the 636 fairly regularly. It is currently the fave in my collection. At 3mm bigger and only about $5 more than the 599 I think it is a steal. Extremely soft tips, not a ton of backbone, but still works as a great face-latherer or in a bowl. Great water flow through and doesn't use a whole lot of product.

    It's been a long time since I last danced with the Gillette. I now have her in rotation for a while, giving my Mühle a little timeout.
    The Shark SS is great as always, not quite as sharp as Astra SP, but plenty sharp.
    With added benefit that it somehow seems impossible to nick myself with that blade!
    Great DFS+++ shave!
    PS: The Mühle is getting cleaned up in the european equivalent of Scrubbing Bubbles. I hope she doesn't drown!! :love055:
