After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

Nice getting back to the DE, after using the injectors for a while. I still want to try one more combo, but felt like a change this morning. Yeah, these 'clunkier' DE razors do have their charm......heh.

This razor is pretty interesting. It's one I'd picked up a little while back, and only shaved with it twice. At the time, it felt like a milder fatboy than usual, and I'd been curious to try it once more. Today was the day.

Yeah, it's definitely milder than any other fatboy I've used. Sometimes I run into one that's more aggressive than usual, but never a gentler one like this. It shaves great, but is very mild and forgiving for some reason.

I set this on #6, and probably coulda gone higher without a problem. My normal magic # is 3, to give you a reference point. Weird eh?

Anyway, even though I sorta screwed up the lather, the shave was quite nice. Yeah, I didn't load my brush up with enough soap(happens), and I was playing catch up from then on. Luckily, the IM is slick and protective enough to make up for minor errors.

I was in a hurry to catch my bus this morning so I used Gillette Series gel canned goo and a power Fusion. BIG MISTAKE!! I should have missed the darn bus. :angry032

Result: First time with the Repeater. Barely adequate 2 pass shave. It's going to take a while to get used to the heavy handle/light head, also the smaller size of the head was very awkward.
