Gillette New (short teeth) with Derby Extra blade
    Semogue 2000 Boar Brush
    D.R. Harris Lavendar shaving soap
Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue aftershave lotion

I used my Semogue 2000 on a cake of D.R. Harris Lavender shave soap today. Man! That was the creamiest, richest most wonderful lather I’ve ever created with D.R. Harris soap; and the only thing different from all previous times was the brush.

Gillette Super Click w/ Gillette Super Thin
    Omega '65
    C&E Sandalwood SC
    Penhaligon's Opus 1870 EDT

For a 27¢ razor, the Super Click actually delivered a very nice shave. It's extremely light, so some pressure had to be applied to keep it from skipping around, but apart from that, the shave was very good. Longevity of the razor is questionable, though.

The Click's one of my favorite razors. Mine bears the Lord name but is the same as yours, save for possibly the color.

    I've black: the best.

    trumpers violet SC
    Olive oil pre shave

I got the itch to shave at 2 am this morning. Im up studying and needed a break. Nice and relaxing shave, really got to enjoy it and take my time

Does anyone know what the hell the comb is for on my razor?? I would assume for show.

Right. Evidently more expensive to manufacture, open-combs look nicer than -closed.

    WEDNESDAY. VI:00 A.M.

    Wash: Tobacco Blossom
    Razor: Click w/ Feather
    Soap: Wilkinson Sword
    Brush: C&E Best Badger
    Splash: Shulton's Spice.

    ...

Claus Porto offers so many bath soaps it's not even funny. I've tried the majority and say Tobacco Blossom (Tango) ranks easily among the best.

Straight Tobacco's fantastic too, though I haven't seen it at Neiman or Louis lately.

    Wednesday Shave

    Hot Shower
    Gem Jr. 1912 Metal Handle
    Omega Boar Brush
    TSD Coconut Lime Verbena
    Dickinson's WH (aloefied)
    Clubman Bay Rum AS
    Florida Water Cologne

Sorry, no picture today I slept late and gotta haul ass. But anyway, this is a great combination of everything. I particularly like the Bay Rum/Florida Water set up. Shave wise, this re-affirmed for me why I'm a Gemocrat. 3 passes, BBS, period.

  14. After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

    Shavemac 22mm silvertip
Schick adjustable injector/ Schick (Chinese) blades
    QED Sandalwood SS
    Lucky Tiger AS
    Ogalallah Bay Rum cologne

Very nice shave this morning. It's fun when all the tools used are the right ones.

    BBS results,
    Martin

A great antique shave this morning--this Barnangens Parba stick dates back to the '30's or '40's. It's a hell of an old man with terrific lather, a nice classic scent, and pretty good skincare. ;) :D

Saw your picture Kaveh, you're right, it looks exactly the same. Mine's black too. It's awesome value for money, I don't think I've had a better razor for 27¢. :D

I should go pick up a dozen more, in case this one breaks. I think it'd be great for traveling light.

May I ask how long you've used yours for?

    Wednesday Morning:

    Hot Shower/Hot Towel
1972 Gillette Super Adjustable (Set at 3)
    Swedish Gillette (Shave #2)
    Omega Stripey Badger 63171
    Proraso Green
    Proraso A/S Splash
    TSD AS Milk
    Preferred Stock

A very effortless shave today. Not the best results I've ever had, but a passable shave nonetheless. I feel like I might be able to dial the Black Beauty up a notch or two and get a closer shave. Perhaps we'll give that a try on Friday. Any wet shaver out there that does not own a tube of Proraso or it's CO Bigelow equivalent, is surely doing himself (or herself) a disservice. The stuff produces a consistently great lather and during the warmer months of the summer, it helps cool you down. The Proraso cream and splash as a team work wonders together. Another great shave for the books.
