    °Schick Hydro-Magic w/stainless blade
    °Williams soap clone
    °big Omega brush
    °Marvy green rubber mug

    2 pass BBS, no irritation

Menthol/alum Dickinson's, followed later by Brut Splash.

I should use the injector more often. I forget how efficient it is and how the blades tend to smooth out after the first shave or two.

Wow! Sounds like the makings of a lost layer or two of skin, from all I've read.

    Frey's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Healthy Accents Daily Renewal facial cleanser, TSD Jasmine Sambac preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: RazoRock One-X
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Perma-Sharp Super (2)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (3, 4)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock One-X AS splash
Cologne: Jasmin et Cigarette by Etat Libre d' Orange

That was an amazing, wonderful shave this morning. I've waxed rhapsodic about the One-X before, and it continues to live up to expectations. . . particularly when paired with the Simpson brush. My only real complaint about the Perma-Sharp aside from any longevity concerns is it is such a quiet blade, providing relatively little audio feedback. Otherwise, things went so smoothly and comfortably that I had to stop myself from chasing the baby with a 3rd pass, winding up with a DFS+ 2-pass shave and only a tiny bit of sting from the alum on one known trouble spot on my neck. While it's designed to pair with a different scent, the One-X meshes beautifully with the Jasmin et Cigarette.

    Sandalwood shave
I decided to combine Proraso Red with the Captain's Choice Sandalwood sample, and they compliment each other quite nicely. My Rubberset easily lathered up the Proraso, and the NEW is rapidly becoming my favorite razor. It's more efficient than my SC101, and almost as smooth and forgiving. If I had choose between them, I would be hard pressed at this point.
I got more sting from the AS this time, so I must have gone too fast with the razor... No weepers, though, and the sting faded very quickly. I also did not use my usual pre shave soap today, opting for a warm shower instead. My face feels great now - smoother than I get with the SC101. The sandalwood is an excellent aftershave.

    Prep: warm shower
Soap: Proraso Red Sapone Barbe Dure
    Brush: Rubberset 400
    Razor: Gillette New LC
    Blade: Personna lab blue
    AS: Captain's Choice Sandalwood

Introduced in 1921, the New Standard razor replaced the existing razors that were produced. The prices on the Old Type razors were reduced, and the new line up of razors (including Bostonian, Tuckaway, Algonquin, Chesterfield, De Luxe, and others) were introduced at a similar price point.

These razors each had a different case, and some had different handles. Plated in gold or silver, they are all pleasing to look at. The shave was surprisingly mild for an open comb, but great nonetheless.[IMG]

Prep - Aveenos Active Naturals Mens Face Wash/Conditoner/Hot Towel
    Lather - MWF
    Razor - Frankentech
    Blade - Personna Red
    Post - Skin Bracer

Not sure if it was the Conditioner, Hot towel or both but my hair was so easy to cut. 2 pass CCS head shave. I plan on another Hot Towel shave tomorrow night, after that I will know. I tried a red in a my tech before with less than stellar results. BTW I am glad Skin bracer is cheap because the only thing going for it is the menthol, The scent leaves something to be desired.
