    Sun AM Shave:

    Pre de Provence soap
    Vintage Merkur Slant
    7 O'clock S/S
    Frank Shaving Manchurian
    Lucky Tiger A/S
    Pre de Provence Balm

Loaded my brush with the soap upside down (in the tin) for the first time today. IT WORKS!! Most of the lather goes into the brush and not over the sides! Shave Scale today - 10! Could not ask for a better/closer shave!

1952 Gillette Super Speed (X-2) Steel Handle
    Feather Blade
    Irisch Moos SC
    GT G4 Scuttle
    Natural Bristle Boar
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Nivea Replenishing ASB
    Mennen Original Skin Bracer

I love this Super Speed. The last of the forties style SS and they were only made with the steel handle for two years due to the brass shortage because of the Korean War. When they came out, I can remember the TV commercials and the blue styrene case with the flip top. Those were the good old days and Gillette's were at their zenith. The steel handle SS has it's place in History as well as being a great shaver. Whenever I use this razor I feel the nostalgia of the early fifties, I suppose because I was becoming aware of the world of shaving watching my Dad shave. One of his favorites at that time was the Mennen Skin Bracer so this morning's aftershave selection deepens the layer of rememberance as well. I hope everyone has a great weekend and enjoy your shaves Gentlemen!

    Hi Friends,

back from a 2-Week Holiday in Italy. It was absolutely brilliant!!!

Today i had a very very wonderful shave with the following equipment:

    -"hot" shower
    -Bock Silvertip
    -PannaCrema Vetyver
    -Gillette Fat Handle Tech
    -Gillette Platinum Blade in 3-passes
    -Floid "The Genuine" Aftershave

The skin-feel is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! My skin feels like "breathing"...The soap blew me away...For me it´s the best soap i used so far.The lather is very rich and creamy, the smell is absolutely georgeous. It´s so much fun to shave with a soap like this. The Floid get´s the rest done...I bought it in Italy and the smell is wonderful. The cooling sensation of the menthol in it is "Woooohooooo"!!!

I will upload the last 2 shaves as well in the next few minutes.Take a seat, grap your popcorn and enjoy.

    Thanks for reading.

    Greetings

    Ladies and Gentleman,

i would like to introduce you the following:

    -"hot" shower
    -Prep Derma Protective Cream
    -Palmolive Rinfrescante
    -HJM Black Synthetic Fibre brush
    -Astra blade in 3-passes
    -Gillette Fat Handle Tech
    -Proraso Aftershave

A very nice shave. At this time i was on holiday in Pinarella (Italy).Very high temperatures made the shaving with the "freezing" equipment to an enjoyable thing. The Palmolive is a very cold cream and in combination with the Prep cream and the Proraso Aftershave i had a cooling sensation "par excellence". ;)

I grabbed some sand and some shells,to bring you some "Holiday-feeling" in your home.:)

Take care and enjoy your day.

    Greetings

    Friends,

here is my first shave in my Holiday in Pinarella (Italy).I will post some pictures in another thread...;)

    Equipment:

    -"hot" shower
    -Prep Derma Protective Cream
    -Gada Cool Mint
    -HJM Black Synthetic Fibre brush
    -Astra blade in 3-passes
    -Gillette Fat Handle Tech
    -Proraso Aftershave

Fine shave!!! The Prep Cream is a very cool cream to soften the skin.It worked very well. The Gada Cool Mint is freezing as hell...:).Super cream!!! In combination with the Proraso Aftershave i had a face freezing shave.Because of the very high temperatures in Italy it was very fine to get a little bit of cooling.

Hope you like it as much as i did.

    Enjoy.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

Somewhat back among the living!!! Still on the pain meds a little, but tapering off. Maybe be off totally by Tuesday. The Nomad was just OK for me...The scent is really unique. The teak and sandalwood are most noticeable for me. I am really starting to love this brush! I will try to get around to posting a review soon. Have a great Sunday all!
