The 38C is not only a beautifully impressive razor; it is a tank! If you like an "Old School" hefty razor this is the ticket! Al's bomb delivered another lather explosion and filled the room with heavenly scents. The Pashana finished off amazingly well with the Boheme to make todays shave a truely memorable experience! Shave well my friends!

    Saturday 4Aug12

Things have been pretty busy and I haven't been posting or shaving, so Saturday morning I couldn't take it any more. It was driving me crazy
I went for the big proraso shave .

I had a multiple proraso preshave balm marinade, followed by a hot-hot shower, and another preshave application.
    Proraso green soap
    Simpsons Berkley 46, face lather
GEM Mircromatic and GEM SS SE blade (new)
    Proraso splash, and visal gel

A great shave, three passes, DFS++. Smooth and chilly.
Hope next week is a bit calmer.

    Shower and Shave

The last two days have been busy, I have not posted my SOS.

This morning I had a great shower, picked up a bar of artisan soap and puck of shave soap. All of her soaps are made with goat's milk, she sells at our local farmer's market her selection of soap.
After the great shower, I prepped my face with Proraso glycerin.
Did not try the new soap today, opted for RazoRock "Don Marco".
My Semogue Owner's Club, is breaking in very nicely. It made mounds of exceptional lather.
Razor choice was a Gillette OC, with a Perma-Sharp blade. This duo is very dynamic.
Three pass shave the results were gold medal worthy, near perfect BBS.
To finish a great shave cold water splash, facial toning alum, balm RazoRock "Don Marco", a splash of Aqua Vela Musk.
I hope everyone has had a superb weekend, that the upcoming week is outstanding

The Godrej soap is one of those soaps that can be used year round; not too heavy, not too light. The Alcolado cooled me right down on a hot Arizona day like this.

First time using Nancy Boy cream. Great performance! Very slick and I love the consistency. Not a huge amount of lather, but more enough for 3 passes. it's certainly a different consistency than what I'm used to. As first I didn't like the scent of this one (Cucumber) but it's starting to grow on me. I'll be buying some Nancy Boy at some point, but not for a few years until I can use up what I already have.

Still getting great shaves from the Schick Plus Platinum blade. It just may end up in my top 3.

As I have a heavy stubble, I use warm water when face-lather to soften the hairs. But when I re-rinse in between the passes, I use cold water only, and the final splash is also cold water. A really interesting combo, which I like.

Every now and then I participate SOTD. The reason behind today's is to show a brand new brush that is really a great face latherer.
