I could not help myself and "adopted" a new Thater brush...the Porter. It did a great job of ginning up the lather from the Trumper lime soap and held enough lather for my three pass shave. The iKon Modern, paired with a fresh Iridium, was a joy to use. The sharper Iridium blade let this razor shine. I enjoyed a BBS shave followed by a refreshing splash of Trumper Limes aftershave. Pure decadence.

Today marks the first time I've gotten an irritation-free DFS without waiting a day or more between shaves. I used:

Shark blade (on its 4th shave)

This is my second go round with the TV, and it was much better this time. Not sure if it was the blade choice or what (don't remember what was loaded last time). Wasn't the most comfortable shave during the process, but about 25 min.s later, the face feels just shy of BBS. Still not a top 5, but I can see a better spot in the rotation than before this shave.

This morning, for some reason, my skin seemed to be a little extra sensitive, but this white-bowled Proraso soap took excellent care of it, and helped me to get a fantastic shave. The Svoboda balsam is so cooling and soothing, and it feels like heaven. ;D

A fine shave this morning with an old favorite cream. I like the Speick shave stick, too, but have always wished that they made their soap in a conventional puck form. I'm not complaining, though--I love the cream. The Astra was smooth as silk this morning and, after a quick splash of the Speick lotion, I'm ready for almost anything.
