Finally got my IKON Shavecraft 102 Slant From @RaZorBurn123 in the mail today!
The suspense waiting for the USPS over the holiday weekend was killing me!


Razor: Ikon 102 Slant w/OSS handle (man is this thing heavy!)
Blade: Astra SP
Brush: Omega 10049 (Big brush for a big razor)
Soap: Stirling Sharp Dressed Man (aluminum tin matches the razor)
AS: Barbasol Pacific Rush (Because @RaZorBurn123 is from the west coast)

The Proraso Green Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Omega 11137 Boar brush. Two passes with my Gillette NEW SC razor and a Sputnik blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I am currenty using the Stirling version, I have not tried a TSD match for it. I really like the MITA scent, additionally I have had no trouble face lathering with it.

Two pass bliss today for shave #4 with the feather Pro. One mistake, I put the razor down too hard high on my cheek. The result was a weeper. Today I used a lighter razor handle, which may have changed the balance of the razor and contributed to the error. The soap in the Brain Bowl is finally beginning to level off. The Stirling Black Ice Witch Hazel has a wonderful scent to go with the facial freeze. I hope everyone had a wonderful shave today.

Shave of the day

Pre- Hot shower, Anna and Claras sandalwood bath soap
Soap/cream- The Body Shop Maca root
Brush- Semogue 1470
Razor- Gillette Slim adjustable (7)
Blade- Feather(2) Switched to Astra SP
Post- Cold water rinse, Pinaud Clubman classic vanilla aftershave lotion and Nivea Sensitive cooling aftershave balm

I really do not think feathers are for me. Im gonna try them a few more Times. It was the second shave on the Feather blade. But it wasnt really sharp anymore, it was DULL?! I heard they are not very durable, but still. First shave to harsh and second shave dull.. That's weird.

It was a long time ago I used my Slim, but im gonna stick with it for a while now =) maybe try a blade or two with it.

Maca root is very trustworthy and Also the Astra SP.

Pinaud vanilla is amazing =D Love it

 

Oh, man! Thank you so much! I just figured that if break monotony (not using that term negatively here) of seeing nothing but shaving gear. I appreciate that!

 

Yeah, Feather blades are pretty 'meh' for me as well.

 

I honestly thought Feathers were the best for me (followed very closely behind by GSB's) but I'm rethinking that position after trying these Astra SP blades.

 

Ah yeah, love Astra SP.

Nice two-pass shave today, no irritation. Stubble free except for my usual jawline trouble spot. (focus, fooocus!)

Stubble reappearance after 8 hours. Best shave was still a 3-pass with this blade. Still working the technique. New blade tomorrow.
