An excellent, leisurely, luxurious shave! I think I have a new favorite scent. The Sweet Tea is my first Soap Commander product (thanks Pete!), and I have to say it is a good introduction...

hot water wash with nivea men's
    whipped dog silver tip
    Coates rose
    Gillette super adjustable long handle(s2)(dad's)
    Gillette Wilkinson sword(3)
    crusella& co legitima rose
today's shave was relaxing, no work no play today, just chilling. the shave was slow and thorough. three passes plus touch up. did some Gillette slide on problem spots. I'm clean as a whistle. the rose scent makes me think of a cowboy coming to town and getting cleaned up after being on the trail for a while.
definitely a no plans, no reservations kind of day.

    SATURDAY
A late-morning Saturday shave—done with actual daylight streaming through the window…a rarity for me this week!
    A very good shave, too!

Nice shave, even though I feel like I cheated by switching soaps. I'll be back to the Prep SS tomorrow. I did pick up another antique store straight so if I can get off my butt today I might give it a go in the next day or two. Just what I needed another straight, I kinda liked the scales though. Have a good one.

Thanks Guy! :) I replaced the standard crappy white plastic knob with a custom Bob's Razor Works (BRW - Cooncat Bob - RIP) Stainless knob PIF'd to me by Stingraysrock. It not only extends the handle length but, also gives additional weight and a better balance to the Progress handle. I love the performance with this custom handle extension. :love029:

    Prep: No.7 Face Wash
    Razor: Utopia
    Blade: Ladas
    Brush: Chopped Made Rite Finest
    Lather: Speick Shave Stick
    Post: Maggard Razors Alum
    Aftershave: Barbasol Pacific Rush
    Balm: No.7 Calm Balm

I was generously gifted the Utopia, Speick, and the Ladas by RaZorburn123.
I have fallen in love with the Speick. The Ladas blade was great and sharp, I think I would buy at least 20 of em to have on hand. The Utopia is a HOSS I should have stopped at two passes. Pass three wrecked my shave. I'll use it for thick growth days. I discovered new things today... the hard way :p
