    RAZOR: MR 18C
    BLADE: TREET SILVER
    BRUSH: OMGEA S SYNTHETIC
SOAP: L.A. SHAVING SOAP COMPANY'S SPRING STREET
    POST: GOLD BOND MEDICATED
    SCENT: F&C SHAMBALA

What a great shave today. I went to the store today to get some Gold Bond as Jeff aka @crackstar said it was quite mentholated. they only had the blue bottle which was ok with me because it seemed to have a higher menthol content and it is quite moisturizing. the Spring Street smells so much like Spanish Leather that its not even funny. It took me a minute to figure it out but I love Spanish Leather so it was all gravy. Shambala is a great spring time citrus floral scent. 3 shave BBS with only one nick.

Thanks James :happy088: and do persevere with the Old Type razor they give good shaves if you keep to a shallow angle (blade as flat as possible to the face ) and a light touch.
I love this type of razor :love055:

It may not be as much the technique as you would think. It is more likely the razor itself (as opposed to the blade). Weishi razors are incredibly mild razors. Even with a Feather blade in mine (weishi pair very well with more aggressive blades), it takes 4 or 5 passes to get a stubble free shave, due to the mildness of a weishi. That being said, this can be done with little to no irritation, again due to the razor being so mild. I am very surprised that Arko was difficult to lather, it usually lathers itself, lol. Did you face lather with it as a stick?

It's a lovely strong scented soap, it lathers like a champ. The lather's slick and dense all you could ask for really. I bought 3 soaps from WSP when they were on offer last year.

PRESHAVE: Face wash with soap and warm/hot water
RAZOR: Wolfman WR1-DC Polished (dual comb) with Bamboo handle
    BLADE: Gillette Silver Blue (2)
    SOAP: Catie's Bubbles Fouet L'Orange
    BOWL: VDH
    BRUSH: VDH Boar
POST: Rinse with warm/hot water to get soap off and then some cold water rinses/splashes and pat try.

Comments: Today I had a two day growth because I didn't shave yesterday! I managed to get almost a full BBS with three passes except a very small neck and chin area that is more sensitive so I will call it DFS for sure! I used the OC side for first two passes then the CC side for the other pass/touch up pass in a jawline, chin and neck areas but not really a complete pass! Soap was very good too as this is only the third time I used CB! The lather, protection and feel throughout the shave and the post shave feel was also very good. No irritation or weepers/nicks! A great shave today!

Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out! Of course, YMMV!

    Thx.

I like that little VDH set. I picked one up a few months ago. I didn't need a brush but it was half off so I couldn't help myself. I gave the brush to my dad and now he uses it all the time (although still with a cartridge razor but we are working on that). I like the bowl because it fits in the palm well and is easy to clean up afterwards.

Yeah, the bowl is very handy that way. I dont bowl lather but once in a great while so I mainly just use it to soak the brush in! I actually like the VDH boar brush as it is stiff enough to lather some soaps that don't seem to want to lather that good using a badger brush which mine are way softer. :)

Prep: Hot shower with Neutrogena Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Gillette Super Speed, John Jay Velvet Shaver straight razor
    Blade: Super Max Platinum (5)
    Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
    Soap: Stirling - Ben Franklin

A Darn Fine Shave this morning. The Ben Franklin was whipped into a nice lather by the Vie Long brush. The SS and the Velvet did their jobs very well. The Nivea ASB and the Prada were a fine finish for the shave this morning.

Now please understand I'm not laughing at you :) Well written so I'm actually smiling quite loud.

As long as you didn't tear up your face [too much] leave a note on the mirror and remind yourself to prep for tomorrow. Stick with the injector. The one you sent me is excellent.

    Tomorrow is another shave.
