Try this set-up and you'll need a space heater and if you ever shower with the Glacial Wintergreen bath soap, you'll need long johns! ;)

I have a bar of the bath soap. My wife and I usually use the same bar of soap, but I figured she wouldn't like the Glacial. I just received an order of Stirling that includes a couple of bars of soap that are specifically for her, so I will be using the Glacial Wintergreen soon.

Is the Chabrawichi 555 still available in Canada? I have tried to find somewhere to get it in the States, and can't seem to find it anywhere.

The Cella Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh WC1 Silvertip Badgerbrush. Two passes with my Gillette President razor and a Personna Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Brush: Frank Shaving Best Bager, fan-shaped
Razor: ATT Kronos (previously known at Titan) with R1 head
    Blade: Astra Platinum (2)

Just got some small/sample sized products from the Stirling Soap Company and I was eager to try them out. The scent of the sandalwood soap was very nice. I prefer sandalwood scents that are more earthy than sweet. I did notice a very slight burning sensation after applying the soap and I would like to know if anybody else had the same problem. :( The sandalwood aftershave balm was very nice indeed. The Kronos razor is a very finely crafted shaving instrument. The fit and finish are truly outstanding. Even with the R1 head (middle of the range), this razor delivered a BBS shave in just 2 passes followed by some touch-ups.

    Cheers, Lyndon

Well, it smelled like Shea Butter and not like Old Spice. So I scooped out the soap and mixed it with 2 ounces of an Old Spice type aftershave while returning it back to the container. I left it sealed (with plastic tape around the lid and container) for 2 weeks. The soap now smells like Old Spice without any issues with lather.

Thank you for your kind words, Ken. Actually, it's just in the city in one of the many beautiful parks we have, here! I never have to travel outside the city. :lyrtuy5:

That's bad news about your shoulder, what did you do. You do realize that you and I and several of us "Old Jarheads" are not getting any younger as I speak. My birthday is coming up sooner than I would like. I was told that people like you and I and several others fall into the category "Old Fart" any way enough of that. That is one Superlative looking Straight and that Brush is another Work of Art. Great set Up.

@clint64 So sorry to hear that you injured your back. Been there done that. Hope that you are starting to get around better. I guess we are a bunch of Old Farts around here lately.

PRESHAVE: Face wash with soap and warm/hot water
RAZOR: iKon OSS with Bamboo handle
    BLADE: Voskhod (2)
SOAP: B&M Lime, Lavender and Cedar
    BOWL: VDH
    BRUSH: VDH Boar
POST: Rinse with warm/hot water to get soap off and then some cold water rinses/splashes and pat try.

Comments: The shave today was real good. The iKon OSS with a Voskhod blade worked pretty well, not great but pretty well. The blade just doesn't feel like it is sharp enough to work very well but I will try it more in different razors and see if there is a difference! Even though I have to do an extra pass to get the shave I want. The iKon does a good job and I can apply a bit more pressure in the areas that will usually need touching up during the passes and in return I have less touch up to do. I mainly use the OC side of it throughout the shave! Soap was real good! The lather was good and pretty slick, the protection and feel throughout the shave and the post shave feel is good too! I do have other soaps that I like better and lets just say that I am on my way of downsizing soaps to just 5 total, I am not sure that this one will remain here! I don't have any complaints with the soap scent as it seems pretty mild post shave and hardly noticeable, which I prefer! I dont like too strong scented soaps! No irritation and no weepers/nicks.

Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out! Of course, YMMV!

    Thx.

Where did you find that bottle of Mennen Skin Bracer. I thought I was doing good with the bottle I found in my Dad's stash when he died.

POST: OSAGE RUB/ OGALALLA BAY RUM & SANDALWOOD AS

what a great shave tonight! I have become a huge fan of the TSD soaps. not only are there great scents, but the performance is awesome. I have a few samples I iced with a spoonful of menthol crystals and I have been quite pleased with the results. I have been cold shaving and between that and the menthol I cant feel my face. the Osage Rub was icing on the cake. I hope everyone had as good of a shave as I had today!

Beautiful set up you have there. Beautiful Weapon Also. and that's right today 06Jun44 was D-day today is the 71st. anniversary of that day. And the bad part is all of the veterans of the War to end all wars are dying away at a very large rate. If you know a WWII veteran thank them for their service.
