WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

TOBS Avocado Cream today. 5 seconds to load the Plisson Badger. Great, easy, thick, lather. Gillette Silver Blue still in the Fatboy. Very smooth, close, shave. I finished with Canoe.

Still traveling with a Mastro Livi Perugia 13.12.14​

One of the pleasures of my business travels is to take with me a Mastro Livi straight razor, something I usually do when I do not need to take a plane. This time I brought with me this Mastro Livi Perugia 13.12.14 - a special razoe made for the first meeting in Perugia - and the more I use it the more I like it. Moreover, at each shave it proves to perform better and better: a preliminary pass on Mastro Livi travel loom strop and then hand palm stropping at the beginning of each pass. Also my pre-shave oil proves to perform very well and, although everything can be improved, I am already happy with it while I'm thinking about a couple of changes in the composition to be done at the next batch.​

6/7/15 - Shave #9 of June Blades focus. I have 4 boxes of blades I'd not really tried yet, so I am devoting the next several months to trying them out and using them up. Just opened blade #3 of the Big Ben Super Stainless and it is a good blade in the three razors I'm using.

Prep: warm wash with Kirk's CocoCastile soap
Lather: TSD Lemon & Cedarwood wheat cream
Brush: Vie-Long 13061M horsehair
Razor: Gillette New LC
Blade: Big Ben (1)
Post: Ogallala Limes & Peppercorn

2 passes plus a little touch up on my jawline and I am ready for a nice Sunday morning.

Woke up feeling like a winner today! Thanks @Bobcat ! Saturday was another good shave on a day 2 Derby, the best day for a Derby! Learning to love Williams!

Took the pic before I jumped in the shower but had to finish up my shave with the 1912/PTFE SS as the Griffon was not cutting it, literally. I did 30 strokes on the bridle strop and 30 on the linen B4 shaving but blade kept skipping. Admit the Zagara cream was probably too thick for a straight razor but should have been a a smooth shave. This straight has only four shaves on it now after being professionally honed so has to be my technique.

Also today was the first time using the Vie-Long 75th Anniversary brush. I REALLY like this brush. Out of the box and not even wet it felt softer on my face than my other 2 band brushes from Shavemac, M&F, Tipsoft, Wiborg, Simpson, Thater. My only other Vie-Long 2 band is the Petree which has more scritch to it and though I haven't tried the Epsilon 2 band from Vie-Long, I'm pretty sure this is the same hair just 24mm instead of 26 and I think a better looking handle. Once brush was soaked and I lathered up for the first time, the tips were indeed soft and had plenty of backbone with just the right amount of splay, or should say splay for the type of lathering that I like to apply. Cant wait to see how this soft this puppy will feel once broken in. Today's shave was with the Mondial Zagara which they stated was a cream but more like a crop to me but I think I will use this brush again tomorrow but try a hard soap to see how it fairs.
