Results: All I can say about the Valobra is WOW. It was a very slick and cushioning shave. 1st time to use an almond scent and really liked it. Feather in the SS was the right setup. BBS today.

I keep treating these open comb razors like a Tech and end up paying for it. That said, the R41 is excellent. The MWF that I mushed down into stick form is also excellent. Aqua Velva Ice Blue, in a spray bottle, right from the freezer, is monumentally excellent.

The shopkeeper that sold me my Aleppo soap (so far unused) told me that he uses it to wash and shave with? Has anyone tried shaving with Aleppo soap?

It's Syrian pure vegetable/olive soap.

 

Habibi, I love that song--for some reason, it reminds me of South Beach, or Fort Lauderdale!

Another first time for me razor......this one being the very common ball end version of a Tech. Yeah, the ones I used to walk past in antique stores....not even bothering to at least try one out. Well, I'll be buying these things now whenever I see one in nice shape.

The experience was very similar to the FH version I'd enjoyed so much. This morning's shave was as close and comfortable as I'd hoped......great little razor. The Iridium blade is a much better match than a feather in this razor.

Skin started reacting bad to the Sage cream. I am sure it is a great cream; unfortunately, my face is too sensitive for its own good. So rinsed off before finishing first pass and when to Tabac for rest of shave.
