    Thursday - another day closer.

    Prep: Hot shower, soak brush
Coffee: Home roasted, fresh ground Rwanda, BLACK
Soap: VDH Select + 2 drops Em's Woodstock EO
    Brush: Mohawk 3-338
Razor: Late model Super Adjustable @ 6
Blade: Astra SP, day 4, 3+ passes
Post: Cold water rinse, ice water splash, Dickenson's WH, B&BW Oak, hand strop blade
    'Stache Wax: Steve's Own

    Shave Rating: 5 Blades

From all that I've tried, I could live with just the Astra SP as my only blade. But then that takes the fun out of trying to find one better!

    JHL Cologne :love008 :love008 :happy108 :happy108

A great shave with my favorite and most precious cream. The cooling sensation, scent, lather and skincare of this Noxzema stuff are all perfect. By the way, this Diana Sport balsam is so powerfully mentholated. ;) :D

    Razor: PILS
    Blade: Rapira Swedish Supersteel
    Brush: Thater Stout 1
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
Soap: I Coloniali Mango Oil Shave Soap
    A/S: Geo F. Trumper Marlborough

For reasons beyond explanation, I had not used the I Coloniali shave soap for several weeks. I really need to work this stuff into my rotation more frequently because I love it. I enjoyed a nice slick and smokey lather and had an excellent shave. The Trumper Marlborough aftershave, a favorite, has sadly been discontinued. If I want the Marlborough scent when the bottle runs out, I will have to go with the cologne.

Sorry folks, all that really matters to me at this point is that this blade is still smooth as silk after 10 shaves, all of which were at least 2 passes or more. I did get a few nicks this morning but it could have been that I rushed....We'll see tomorrow ;)

Dale, I'm glad the Russian greens worked out well, I'll let you know how the ninjas work for me after I kill the next two unfinished blades I have awaiting the death of the Astra.

    TSD soap, unscented
Omega Lucretia Borgia imitation badger brush
    EJ DE89L
    Personna Barber blade
    TSD Aftershave Milk, unscented

First time trying one of the Personna Barber blades. I have a few that came as a sample from RazorBladesAndMore.com with an order. They are wrapped in plain white paper, and there is no printed name on the blade, just arrows and a couple of numbers.

First impression was very good: sharp, no tugging at all, and very smooth. Close, smooth shave. After a while, my face started to feel a little irritated, but there was no redness, nicks, or weepers. Same as what I feel after using a Feather blade. I'll give a few tries and try to maintain a lighter touch. Maybe I'll try one in a milder razor like a Tech or in my Progress on a low setting.

    Simpson Chubby 2 Best
Arko Shave Stick in an OS mug

    Alum
    Superior 70 Bay Rum

Another fantastic shave this evening. Day 2 with the Russian green did not disappoint. I need to work my way through a tuck of them before I make up my mind, but so far I am glad I gave them a shot.

This was also my first shave with the Chubby 2. I thought my 24mm TGN Finest was dense until I used this beast. I was leery of a 28mm knot, but it feels smaller on the face then my medium Rooney. The badger butthole scent only took a couple of test lathers to disappear. I like this brush a lot and can not wait to spend more time with it.

    Another spectacular shave.

    Shavette with Wilkinson Sword blade
Sweet Almond Oil for a nice facial massage and adding some extra glide and perkiness to my whiskers
    VDH deluxe soap
Burts Bees Aftershave balm and once that dried I splashed on some AVON Oland aftershave.

Two passes got me DFS which is what I usually get but today just seemed to go smoother some how. I only got two very shallow nicks which I went over real quick with the Styptic pencil. After the Burts Bees Aftershave balm dried I splashed some AVON Oland vintage Aftershave splash and I'll be darned if I didn't think that I could take on the world today :D

Not only does this Tibet Forest Fresh cream have a lot of menthol, with great lather, it also leaves the skin feeling very smooth and well-cleansed. The Svoboda balsam is one of the best aftershaves I ever had. ;) :D
