I used the Flare Tip, Palmolive and the Boar Brush in memory of my father who has been gone for some time. A flare tip of my father's was the razor that I learned how to shave with, and I remember him using Palmolive cream and a brush for lather. I know he used Old Spice, as I have gifted him some for Father's Day or Christmas.
RIP POP, and thank you for being the man that you were and for teaching us how to be loving father's and gentlemen.
An excellent shave today with the Palmolive. This is a great cream with excellent slickness, cushion and a nice minty scent with a mild menthol feel. The English Rocket flare tip loaded with a made in England Wilkinson blade wiped the face clean of facial hair and left me BBS and swimming with Dolphins. The Old Spice leaves me refreshed and smelling great and being reminded of my father for the rest of the day. Have a blessed day Gentlemen.

The picture of Fidrych reminds me of when Carl Yastrzemski argued 3rd strike calls by covering home plate with dirt. He knew he would be thrown out of the game, but this way, he would...well, "go down swinging".

Scorcher today besting yesterday. It' 35c that 95f. Crazy temp by our Canadian standards. Hammock under the tree makes for some outdoor possibilities. Our cat thinks we got the hammock for her. Hard to see but she is on the suspended mesh below.

2 pass BBS with a few nicks I always seem to get from platinum blades; I shoulda known better than to use a plat on an unfamiliar razor. While I still don't buy the whole concept behind slants, between the very low profile zamak head and the aluminum handle I put it on, this is a very zippy shaver. Rather noisy, too. Not super aggressive but not nearly as mild as I've read elsewhere. Efficient is the word. I just need to find a better blade for it.

•Men's Choice blue AV knockoff ($1.09) spiked with menthol, followed up with Afta Fresh ($2.12). Great stuff for the price.

 

I'd like to find out where to get PMR-hopefully ebay isn't the only place.

A very satisfying shave on this Fathers' Day. I had started the week with the Schick J1 and a new Chick blade, but didn't seem to be getting the shaves I was used to getting from it (not as long lasting with some neck irritation). I think I must be out of practice with it (my grip, I suspect) and probably need to do a mini-focus to get back in the swing.

I ended up taking a day off and switched over to the Slim and figured I've give the Treet blades another run. I had gotten them back at Christmas as part of the original DeFitch package, but hadn't used them in a while. At the risk of angering the Cartel, I'd put them up there with good Russian steel.

I did my usual 1-plus pass and ended up with a DFS. No complaint from the alum, either.

Amazing shave today. I absolutely love my Merkur Classic and it goes very well with the Personna Platinum (red) blade. I also really love the VDH Deluxe soap. I get a thick and rich lather every time with tons of slickness! If anyone knows where I can get some more of the VDH Deluxe soap I would really appreciate !!!

Wow Celistino done bought a One Blade!

 

I had a great shave with the Defitch DF91. Smooth and easy this one with a Gillette platinum blade. I bought this on Amazon with the Father's Day special but even at full price of $19 ish this razor is a fantastic deal. The quality is great and I just love the handle. Nice balance, great grip, and a decent heft. I'm hoping you all had a great weekend and a happy Father's Day.
