After going through TSD samples I had Angel Type ( my face did not care for this one),Vanilla, Bourbon Vanilla, and Bay Rum (I liked this
one the best) and a Stirling Clubman (from a well known member, thanks Patrick!) I'm back to Cella. It just works great for me. Even better in my new 1985 Old Spice Cobalt Blue Mug that just arrived. Bobcat had one on his SofTD last week and my AD kicked in. Great 3 pass with my FB on 4. Super-Max are good but Feather works the best for me. I let the razor do the work. I did notice I use both hands when I shave left hand left side right hand right for WTG and XTG . ATG it's the opposite. DFS today. The new larger mug helps me lather better, not that the Cella needs much help. Sticking with 4 on the FB for now. Can't say enough about this razor. Perfect weight, just let it do the work. Nice day.

Unless you're dealing with the carbon steel blades which is what CVS blades are.

    Gillette Red Tip SS
    Treet Black Beauty
    Omega 10083
    RazoRock P.160
    Floid Blue

I fear I'm having the same issue with P.160 as I did with ABCBA. I face lathered this morning as usual and had some red skin after the shave, I know its not the blade/razor combo because XX and XXX shaves with the same setup have been flawless. I never reacted to the old P.160 and this performance seems better, so I'm hoping it was a fluke of some kind otherwise I'll need to sell off this ABCBA and P.160 stock I have :(

I am liking this Mitchell's WF. I face lathered the fat with my Semogue 1305 boar brush. It lathers so easily and creates a luxurious, slick cushion. Two passes with my Gillette fatboy and Derby Extra blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After my cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers cucumber WH and Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Friday Morning Shave
    Razor:
    Edwin Jagger DE8911
    Blade: SuperMax Blue Diamond (1)
    Brush: Isana Men Pure Badger
Soap: Arko combined with 4 drops of eucalyptus and mint oil
    AS: Barbasol Pacific Rush

I woke up late this morning and I felt that I needed a menthol shave to wake myself up. So I dropped a few drops of eucalyptus and mint oil on Arko shaving soap and there was a lather explosion with a freezing effect :) It was my first time with Supermax blue diamond and I can definitely say it's a great blade. I'll buy 100 blades of it when I order it online. I had smooth and nice BBS result like most of the time.

Although the ISZ soap is less freezing than my Glacial soaps, it's still freezing enough to satisfy my menthol needs and it always delivers on the rich lather and skincare. The 444 balm moisturized and gave my skin lots of additional cooling and the Penguin provided a hell of a menthol kick of its own. The Sharp blade is still somehow holding up - it gave me a nice BBS shave with not too much effort. ;) :D

Have a great weekend, folks! :)

today's shave its pretty nice. I have been expecting a razor I bought from the bay. yesterday it arrived. it is an ever ready razor I'm told was made in 1919. I can't hardly get over the workmanship in some of my older razors. the feel is that of a surgical instrument. not that I would know what a surgical instrument felt like. but that's the impression I get. really nicely made. I did three passes with touch up on right jaw line. under my nose was a little closer quarters for the larger head of the razor. it gave lots of feedback. all in all I got a dfs+ shave. I finished it up with rose as/ splash.
    Y'all have a great day
