I am going to go over to the hospital to see "She Who Must be Obeyed" She was scheduled for Knee Surgery at 1130hrs. for some reason it was 1330hrs. before she was taken in and at 1715hrs. she was moved to recovery they have not yet called to let me know if she has been moved to her room yet. I also talked to "She Who Must be Obeyed" a few minutes ago. So after dinner today I will go see her.

    Yesterday's Shave.
Prep: hot shower, Neutrogena Face Wash, Dove Men's Plus soap.
    Brush: Turkish #6 Brush.
    Razor: Schick Krona.
    Blade: Personna Med Prep.
    Soap: Razorock XXX.
Post: cold water rinse, XXX AS by Fine.

Back in familiar territory with my trusty Schick Krona. I had some bumps on my neck from the MMOC, but I still got a good shave. The Razorock XXX soap is exactly how I remembered it. AWESOME! And I also have the awesome matching aftershave that Fine made several months ago... This was a limited edition, so good luck finding it anywhere other than BST pages.

    Today:

Prep: hot shower, Neutrogena Face Wash.
    Brush: Turkish #6 Brush.
    Razor: Schick Krona.
    Blade: Personna Med Prep.
Lather: Razorock King Louis Lavender for the first pass. Egyptian Ingram for the second pass.
Post: cold water rinse, Fine American Blend.

I don't think I could get a closer shave. I missed menthol, so that's why I used Ingram on the second pass. I did get one weeper on my chin due to carelessness. It went away with a cold water splash and became history when I put on the awesome Fine American Blend.

How can I keep neglecting such an awesome cream like Palmolive Menthol? It smells super-nice, it lathers beautifully, and it freezes my face like a son-of-a-gun with great skincare. I'm soon going to need some more Anherb conditioner which is another terrific face-freezer with a lot of moisturizing and protection against dryness. The Floid Classic is one of my favourite aftershaves. Another wonderful BBS shave which I enjoyed immensely! ;) :D

    Wooly Wednesday
I woke up early to a thunderstorm. Luckily just lots of lightning for now... May be severe later. Excellent shave with MWF today. The Lather Monster made almost too much yogurt... Which the SC101 comfortably cut through, leaving my face smooth and happy. I went with Ice Blue AV for the old school scent and nice cooling for a hot stormy day.

    Prep: RR/HTGAM lime menthol
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Brush: HIS XL Lather Monster
    Razor: iKon ShaveCraft 101
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue (2)

    SOTD June 18

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: Gillette slim twist
    Blade: Merkur (day 2)
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Cream: Proraso Blue
    Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG)
    Post: Proraso Blue

First time with the Proraso Blue shave cream. It was a little on the thick side, but a lather. I found it slick and very mild of scent, which goes a long way in my home.

I'm going to have to review my notes on the Merkur blade. I thought it performed well in the slim twits... maybe I just need to let my face heal up longer after yesterday's ATG pass.

    Wednesday:
hot shower w/Yardley English Lavender bar soap
    Homemade PSO
    Parker 80R 2+ passes
    Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge (2)
    VDH boar
GFT Violet and TOBS Lavender (sample creams) in a warm mug
    Thayers Lavender w/aloe
    Royall Vetiver AS lotion

Another very nice shave today but I still seem to be shaving with a bit of trepidation even though my irritation from the weekend is long gone. No real explanation as to why I'm not shaving confidently with this blade but we'll stick with it.
Couple of leftover samples mixed together for a very nice lather. Had some left in the bottom of the mug so rather than rinse it out I let it alone to add something else to for another shave.

    WEDNESDAY
Must be one of those days! Two passes and on the third, I managed to give myself a little slice on the throat. Other than that little boo-boo, a pretty darned good solo right-handed shave. I'm enjoying this BeauBrum every time I use it, despite the blood-letting of this morning. ;)

    Have great Humpday, all!
