I have added crystals to (2) of my AS's and neither has turned cloudy? Might just react with particular ingredients in certain aftershaves...

Erik Redd Lizabeth, baby, I'm comin' to join ya.

Does the cloudiness disappear after it sets for awhile, or does it stay cloudy?

    '59 Fatboy @7 w/Crystal
    Al's SC - Boheme w/ 2 drops of Glycrine
    GT G4 Scuttle
    Omega Boar
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Nivea Replenishing ASB
    Aqua Velva Musk ASL/Cologne

I have been using 2-3 drops of Glycrine in my shave creams/soaps of late like MoAllen. I see a little improvement in the creaminess and volume of the lather using the Glycrine. I'll have to try it with the hard soaps like MWF to see if it improves the creaminess and volume there as well..
I'm going to savor using the Fatboy this morning and really enjoy this shave. (It may be the best experience all day.) Yesterday was a disaster! After my nice shave I discovered a major break in an irrigation line and spent the entire day repairing it. (Digging a huge hole to get to it 3 feet below.) My big tractor's ignition switch went bellyup and so now I have to order a switch to replace that as well. My original project of repairing my riding mower (which I only got started working on when the irrigation line blew.) still needs to be finished today.
After fixing the irrigation line, I discovered one of the connecting links to the mower deck fell off (somewhere in the pasture; good luck finding that!) so, all in all yesterday was a frustrating generally crappy day! The bright side is today HAS TO BE better! lol Have a great weekend Gentlemen!

    Wash with TSD unscented soap
Lather TSD unscented soap with two drops of glycerin
Muhle hjm black fiber synthetic brush
    Vintage Bakelite slant
    Gillette silver blue blade
    CeraVe lotion

A refreshing cold water shave: cold water for lather, cold water on the face between passes, child rinse of the razor, child rinse at the end. I think the last child water shave I had was five years ago in the Colorado river while camping in the Grand Canyon. Very refreshing!

    Sunday 06/23

Started off with a hot shower, to undo the kinks. For some reason I was very stiff this morning.
After a great shower I prepped my face with Prairie Creations pre shave oil.
Shavemac Silver tip went to work on lathering up RazoRock Muget de France. Mounds of thick creamy lather.
Today was a razor and blade change. I went with the combo of the Gillette Super Adjustable and a Blue Persona blade. a great pair. I applied the same technique I used on the Mongoose. The result were a great comfortable shave dialed into #6.
After a great three pass shave, warm water rinse, cold water splash.
A refresh splash of Pinaud Tres Flowers.
    Results were a superior DFS.

Hope everyone has a great upcoming week.

I hope that you can fire up the grill, have a nice dinner, a cold beverage of your choosing, and get to some relaxing after your weekend.

Sorry to hear you sliced my dome Richard. Fortunately, it was not too deep or you could have given someone a piece of your mind! :happy097:

Thanks Dale. I went out and finished the riding mower this morning. (Still have to order some new parts as the damage was more than I expected but that's another day.) I'm calling it quits for this weekend and taking your advise; I have a cold beverage, a bowl of chips and I'm waiting for the Seattle Mariners game to come on the TV. I'm officially in relax mode! lol

Chubby 2, TOBS Grapefruit, Black Beauty, Bolzano (2), Maca Root Razor Relief

Big, bold citrus lather from the TOBS this evening. Enough for a small army. I got a little more sun than I should've at the Kite Fest yesterday, so I went with a thick coat of Maca Root after my shave and it feels great. The Bolzano blade was a little disappointing on it's second use, it felt noticeably duller than I'm used to.

Tomorrow starts a new week, good luck everyone!

Fourth day with the my new Semogue, first day of SE series.
Col. Conk's Bay Rum Shaving Soap
    Semogue 1305 boar brush
Gem Feather Weight w/ Gem Personna blade
    CWR
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS
The brush is performing flawlessly. It has backbone, yet, it is soft to the face. It whipped up loads of lather with Col. Conk's. I have two more soaps with the Semogue before I put it into the rotation. Today was the beginning of my series where I will use a different SE razor each day. Today featured the Gem Feather Weight. Very nice shave.
