    Wash with Honeybee unscented soap
Lather Queen Charlotte unscented soap with two drops of glycerin
    HIS synthetic brush
    Vintage Bakelite slant
    Gillette silver blue blade
    Cold rinse
    CeraVe lotion

Continuing my experiment with adding glycerin to my soap. Excellent lather with the Queen Charlotte soap today.

    Here is my process:
    1. Run a little water on top of the soap and let it set while I wash my face
    2. Dump the water off the soap
    3. Add drops of glycerin to the wet soap
    4. Wet my brush and shake out most of the water
    5. Load the brush for about 20 firm circular strokes on the soap
    6. Now the face lathering begins with circular strokes, then paint brush strokes until I get the consistency I want.
    7. The synthetic brush, of course, is a lather machine, and it creates an enormous amount. I use paint brush strokes to remove some back to the brush for the 2nd and 3rd passes.
The slant razor performed flawless again. I love that razor!

Nice shave, the Ingrams seem to be a little lacking but all in all a good shave.

Does the Speick AS have much "bite?" I like alcoholic aftershaves (Bay Rum being a current fav) but am increasingly drawn towards using matched creams/ASs, and the Speick cream is at the top of my list.

I have only used VIBR, It doesn't have as much bite as that but this is my first time using it. I love the dry down on Speick, so far seems to be a great one.

First shave with both of these and I was very pleased with both. The Ranger is to me far more aggressive than the SuperSpeed that it resembles. May become my new favorite razor.
Also the first shave with my newly restored beechwood handle with TGN 24mm Fan 2 Band XH. Really really pleased with how it turned out. For a first shave it was awesome!! Plenty of backbone and very very soft. Love these 2 band finest knots.

I usually do the first 2 passes with the str8 and finish with the SE, and end up with a fair-good DFS at best. Today however, I tried the opposite sequence: first pass with the SE, followed by 2 str8 passes. The result was a faceterbating BBS! By whacking the heavier whiskers with the SE on the first pass, the str8 had a lighter workout in the 2nd and 3rd passes, and got the remaining stubble with surprising efficiency and comfort while completely avoiding the heavy pull/drag feel of the first pass. I may not do it this way every time, but will definitely use this sequence again.

That was the best shave Ive had using this Aristocrat, the Bic blade was very smooth in it, the Cade as always a pleasure to use.

I took some Stephan's Bay Rum and added some menthol crystals to it. Think Osage Rub +++, the only unfortunate thing is I can't pick up much Bay Rum scent anymore but this stuff will cool you down. Nice shave this morning, have a good one. Anyone know why the AS turns cloudy after adding the menthol crystals?

Guess how long it too me to get this shave done - give up? Between my shower and prep, about an hour and 45 minutes. That's why I'm so BBS and I look so gorgeous. Wow, I could win a prize after after a shave like this because my face is the prettiest thing you ever saw! Just kidding about being gorgeous but seriously, this shave did take so long and it resulted in a mega-BBS. ;) :D

Picked up a couple samples at the mall after dinner last night. This one had a nice scent, but a little too subtle for my tastes. I could smell lime and ginger with a hint of spice, but very mild. It lathered easily, but was thinner than most of my other creams. It also wasn't quite as slick as some of the others I had, but offered ample protection without any irritation. Overall, I enjoyed the cream and its not quite as expensive as other "high-end" counterparts. I have another scent to sample later. The woman said the samples were quite small so she gave me (2) of each, which is enough for 2-3 shaves each container! I'll report back on the other sample later in the week. Have a great Sunday all!
