    Rockwell 6s vs Maggard Slant
Both of these are excellent razors easily capable of a smooth BBS. The Rockwell outshines the slant in terms of comfort. I am biased in favor of heavy razors, and the 6s is more substantial. Beaudelaire is one of my favorite scents, and the lather quality goes without saying.
The difference in any of these razors is fairly close and would come down to personal preference, mine is for the 6s.
    Prep: Chattilon Lux butter
    Soap: B&M Beaudelaire
    Brush: Brothers Bristles Bronze Shadow
Razors: Maggard Slant, Rockwell s6 R6
    Blades: voskhod
    AS: B&M Beaudelaire[IMG]

Smooth as silk, frozen solid, smelling great, and ready for another sweltering day here in Fort Lauderdale. The Frozen Tundra soap has such an awesome scent which I LOVE. The lather whipped up so easily with my Plissoft synthetic and the menthol feeling took hold right away. Oh yes, don't underestimate this soap's freezing power because it's the second coldest after the Glacials. My 1950's Super Speed is a jewel - it's a razor which is so forgiving and gentle, yet it gives me great shaves every time. I'll wait until the wife gets up, I'll make myself a coffee and the we'll go out for a bite to eat. I'd love to go to the beach but they've still got riptide warning in effects until tonight. Oh well, at least we can sunbathe and swim in the pool! :happy088: :happy088:

A great weekend to everyone! :)

    One Blade Core razor
    Feather blade
    WD Silver Tip brush
    VDH Luxury SS
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Pinaud Clubman A/S

Put in a new blade and went at it. Less than stellar shave but ok in the end. The company website asks you to use the razor for 21 days to adjust to it. I'll do that and then decide what to do with it. Now go enjoy your day folks

For the start of King Gillette Weekend I put the Milord to work. I do need to thank Curtis Crough for piffing me his grandfather's razor. The iamCanadian boar brush whipped the Wars cream into a luxurious lather and the Sputnik blade took the cream and the whiskers leaving me so smooth, a Dolphin would be jealous. A little Gentleman's Pride ASB and a splash of Skin Bracer and it is a fine morning. Have a blessed day gentlemen.[IMG]

Thanks! Yeah, you can find them on the bay from time to time and at a decent price. Because they are technically meant for a wedge blade what I do is use an extra spine behind the blade to prop up the back of the blade a bit. Provides a nice mildish shave.

    Gillette New Short Comb
    Gillette 7 O'Clock Super Stainless
RazoRock Don Marco soap and AS
    Satin Tip The Purest

What an amazing shave last night. I absolutely love the scent of Don Marco. And the performance of the new "Super" soap base with lanolin is out of this world. If you love citrus, you have to try Don Marco. Have a great weekend everyone!

    Saturday morning:

    L'Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed Astra day 6
Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic SS
    Lucky Tiger AS Cream
    Alt Innsbruck AS Splash

This setup is actually a bit of a step down in the menthol power but don't get it wrong because it's still plenty cold. The MITA soap (regular version) is one awesome latherer with a beautiful scent and it sure knows how to put icicles in my face. Its post-shave care is one hundred percent Stirling perfection. The Lucky Tiger balm, as I call it gives lots of moisturizing and soothing with an additional menthol punch which feels so good. The Alt Innsbruck to me anyway, smells great (my wife ain't crazy about it!) and it's also loaded with menthol!
