Friday, June 24th 2011 Razor: Wilkinson Sticky Blade: Rapira Swedish Steel Brush: H.L. Thater Stout 1 Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime Soap: Trumper Coconut Oil Soap A/S: Acca Kappa Cedro Splash I would really like to see one of the current razor manufacturers make a Wilkinson Sticky clone. It is the perfect razor for me offering a combination of efficiency and smoothness that I normally do not get from a TTO. I had an outstanding shave today. A splash of the Cedro and I am ready for "boot camp".
Friday: EJ89L Voskhod (6) EJ BBB Palmolive Stick (euro) Nivea Sensitive balm Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue Master Lilac Vegetal The Palmolive stick continues to impress me more with each shave, little bit of soap= lather explosion.

Not shaving today. Shaved yesterday afternoon with a Red Tip loaded with a minty Pal blade, so there's no sign of needing to shave today. Maybe by tomorrow noon there'll be something worth mowing off. Currently wearing home-made mentholated witch hazel chased with my personally blended Old Spice/Avon Leather/pipe tobacco extract aftershave.
TGIF! Warm Shower Green Marvy Mug Sabi Badger TSD Yukihana Soap Lady Eversharp - Turquoise EMS (2) Cool Water Rinse Victoria's Secret "Candy, Baby" lotion Pe-Re-Ja Cologne Working late today, might as well smell yummy while I'm doing it. Have a great Friday everyone!!
Feather Portable Feather (3) Rubberset Boar (Chubbz 2) Speick Stick Alum Boosted Superior 70 Bay Rum A bit extra irritation on the neck and blade heads to the bin. Not bad overall, but not the best either. At least it's Friday.

EJ 89L Astra SP (15) VanWilder SS Omega Pro 48 Master's Lilac Veg Well, I hit 15 smooth and comfortable shaves on the Astra Superior Platinum blade. I'm about to search on my haul of the 89L and see if I've ever used a different blade in it since I got it. If I am on the same blade I started with and have similar results with another Astra, I may ask one of you EJ 89L users to try the setup and see if its a fluke or not. I'm damn curious as to why this is performing so well for so long. 4 out of 5 blade shave this morning. Amazing.

I LOVE these Rapira blades so much, because of their smoothness and their sharpness, and they make a shave so easy and comfortable. The Solo Menthol cream with its lovely scent and rich lather and light cooling sensation feels so good during a shave, and the Barbon aftershave is really icy. Here's a beautiful video of some great Ukrainian bandura music--this is a 17th century Cossack song--I love it. http://youtu.be/doSExf3CmpE

Gillette Old Type BRW Improved handle Gillette 7 O'clock Perma Sharp Simpson Chubby 2 Best Bigelow SC Alum Boosted Superior 70 Bay Rum First shave with the Perma Sharp and I have to say it is a step down on the 7 O'clock scale. It is still nicer then the Yellows, but the Blues, Blacks, and Russian Greens all work better for me. Other then the blade choice, this shave was a nice and chilly.
