    Razor: PILS
    Blade: Lord Platinum Class
Brush: Simpson X2L in Two Band
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Soap: D.R. Harris Marlborough
    A/S: Trumper Marlborough

I enjoyed an excellent shave although was annoyed by my PILS. It looks like I am going to have to have it plated because it keeps rusting. It would be nice if PILS replied to my emails.

This is the coldest shave I've ever had. Refridgerated splash is a great idea. Jeff (Crackstar) you'd love this Vostok soap my friend.

Today I revisited where I started, with my Humble Tech. And the shave, my brothers, was good, I need to place it back into the rotation. With so many razors in the collection it has been easy to overlook this very basic well made shaving machine.

    Day 16......

and she's done. So technically, 15 really good comfy shaves of 2+ passes out of the Astra SP in the EJ 89L. Not bad. Face is a little sore in spots due to weepers/general dull blade shaving.

So Lloyd, I'm guessing you called it nearly dead on. I did get a pass and a half in before I faced the fact that it was over, but you nailed the count at least :D

So, here is my setup for the last day of the Astra:

    • EJ 89L
    • Astra SP (16)
    • Speick stick
    • Every Ready C40 vintage boar
    • home boosted and chilled in an ice bath Clubman Pinaud AS

I'm kind of excited since I get to try a new blade in the 89! I opted to load up with a black ninja a.k.a. Gillette 7 O'clock Super Platinum a.k.a. the black 7 O'clocks. Hopefully I like them and I get some longevity out of them as well.

Really impressed with the 89L ya'll. If you don't have one, it is really worth it. Really nice finish and aggressive while being mild.

Haha Steve it doesn't get any better and no, I didn't shave in the morning, I could eat Count Chocula all day. :D

I have the Cologne too, but I'm going out for Italian tonight, I don't think smelling like Count Chocula would be a good thing. :happy102

Hey, I can't neglect my Everest stuff--it deserves lots of love, because it shows me lots of love. It gives me such rich, cooling lather, with a great scent, and the eau de cologne/aftershave balsam is very cooling, moisturizing, and soothing. My wife loves the scent of the stuff--she was standing close to me with her hands on me while I was shaving. ;) :D

    Brush: H.L. Thater Stout 1
    Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime
    Soap: Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet

I actually did half a pass with my Wilkinson Sticky but the blade seemed dull so I switched to the Futur. I enjoyed a great shave followed by my favorite summer aftershave...Alt Innsbruck. Very nice!
