Soap: Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet (tallow)
A/S: Thayer's Lavender Witch Hazel, Alt Innsbruck Splash

This was my first encounter with a Rapira "Swede" (received as a sample), and the result was a close and comfortable shave. It's another good Russian blade, and I would place it in the same general category of efficacy as the Astra Superior, which is a personal favorite--the Astra may be slightly sharper. However, since this was only the first shave with this blade, take my judgment with a hefty grain of salt. The Grosvenor LE whipped up an abundant creamy lather and the Alt Innsbruck provided a very fine finish. I'm looking forward to my second shave with the Rapira.

Shave Rating: 5 Blades

Super smooth. First time with the Clubman. Not bad, but the verdict is still out. My wife didn't comment on it one way or the other, so........ <shrug>

 

June 25 and 26

Weekend shaves are always a bit special. You can give more attention to preparation, enjoy some fun with towels, oils and other finer things of shaving. So, that's what I did:

One of the rare days when I use splashes. Red Line SC gave me a great shave and I wanted to finish it in a special way.

My 4th shave with an injector and it was just as good as the other 3 which is well above average. Nice an smooth but a little less comfy than a DE, but I'm still learning!

3.5 out of 5 blades!

An Ok shave. The blade was very tuggy. Somewhere along the line I did not properly care for the Rolls and while I totes dig the Skin Bracer Blue, the Green is double Puke-A-Roni and down the drain.

At least I get to try again tomorrow!
