    Schick G4 razor
    Personna 74 blade
    RazoRock Plissoft brush
    Taconic Eucalyptus Mint SC
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Taconic Eucalyptus Mint A/S

Day 2 with the Personna 74 blade and another very nice shave. Actually, will probably get very nice shaves for the next few days regardless if this were a regular Personna or the 74. It's next week that will start telling the difference I'm thinking. Anyway, my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks

    shave-Fields&Streams soap(Local Gent. Co.)*
    brush-Li'l Brudder Synthetic(Stoylin)
razor-C'est La Sensore Deux Plu Pivote DisposeABLEment par Gillette
    A.S.-Sandpiper w/Menthol(Stoylin)

    *-
there is VERY LITTLE left in the puck thus it will be an experience to see how much I can onto the brush, but my confidence in this problem grew when I saw that video of the guy working with an equally small amount in his Long Rifle puck. His brush (and later his face)looked like an ice-cream cone!!

Tonight's shave was with a trusted Japanese Razor. I had a great 2 pass shave, that left me near BBS, without touch-ups. Great shaving razor.

Razor- Japanese "T.F.Hairops", Barbers First Quality.
Brush- B400 By Tom(@twhite ). WD Boar. 2 hairs shed.
    Soap- Arko/Avon Spicy scented

Colonial Razors The General with UFO Colibri SS
    Feather Pro Super
T-400 by @Vlasta with Envy White Two Band
    Panna Crema Nuavia Nera
    Fine Fresh Vetiver
    Tom Ford Grey Vetiver

Today’s shave was outstanding. The T-400 easily whipped the Nuavia Nera into an outstanding thick, slick lather. Feather Pro Super still in the General gave me a close two-pass shave. Cooled with mentholated witch hazel and some Gold Bond Green Moisturizer, I finished with Barrister and Mann Night Moves aftershave.

First use of the T-400 preproduction model made by @Vlasta, Steve Tinter (tinter@gmail.com). An impressive solid two-piece Prototype Rubberset Copy made from 6030 aluminum. It weighs 96 grams without the knot. It’s set with a 23mm Envy Supreme White Two Band knot. The opening for the knot was tight. I could have used another millimeter. Outstanding workmanship, with wider ferrules than the original Rubberset 400s, B-400 by Tom, and the BSB-1s, that allows for a better grip and great back-n-forth lathering motion, as well as easier moisture shake out after the shave.

This is a cool design Jim has come up with. Wood is a unique razor material, wonder how it would hold up over time. Probably depends on what its treated with.

Another very good shave with the Parthenon. Better than average blade reveal and very good efficiency in the low numbers. The sweet spot has been between 2-4 on the dial so far. Again, that has been with just a days growth in the past 3 shaves. Might skip a day and try it with 2 days growth on the higher settings. Have a great evening and shaves Gents... :)

PAA Organism 46B soap, Omega Pura Setola bristle brush, Vintage Gillette razor, Rockwell Swedish stainless blade, Cella aftershave.

Two careful passes, resulting in a really great shave, one of the best, in fact.

Just the Basics June/Just for Fun June - take your pick

    June 6

    Razor - Gillette Tech
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
Soap - Van Der Hagen Deluxe
Brush - Tweezerman Badger (Is there a cheaper brush?)
Post - Alum, Old Spice (Thursday morning)

Turn up your speakers. Ok, so don't, but......do you hear that sucking sound coming from Cartel HQ? Hear it? Yeah, that one. That's the sound of a Tweezerman badger brush in use. I found this thing in among some other items I still hadn't unpacked because I rarely use them and decided to give it a go. While I claim the Omega Pro 48 as the first "real" brush I bought, the Tweezerman is the first "actual" brush I bought, not counting the VDH kit. I pondered long and hard back in 2014 whether to buy the Escali or the Tweezerman. I finally decided on the Tweezerman because the Escali was getting very bad reviews. I may have missed the ones on the Tweezerman. Both, I suspect, are equally bad. Shedders, so floppy it's nearly impossible to load or make a lather with...I mean....HORRIBLE.

But, I managed to get it to work well enough to get a workable lather for the Tech and Treet. And, after three passes yet another DFS is in the books. So, even with brushes, technique can win out as long as it isn't actually broken. And those cheap badgers aren't broken. They just suck.

That's six days of Just the Basics. Tomorrow - a few days of Just for Fun!!!
