06/22/2018 & 06/23/2018 - FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT SHAVES....

FRIDAY NIGHT = THE SCHICK E2 that opens for cleaning - made in USA - fresh proline blade - PAA CaD - using CaD star jelly instead of the balm, the jelly is just so darn soothing and great.
SATURDAY NIGHT = My Schick Paul Reverre with a NEW Personna 74 blade - it don't get much better - The PAA banana pre shave cube is the ULTIMATE and so is the soap - banana oil is really slick and the scent on these products are off the charts - my entire bathroom smelled of banana - I just LOVE IT - organism 46b - is boozy - , orange,burnt sugar, and JUST the most original new release and a scent that is so intoxicating - Matt inno [the master of SOTD pics, and owns the coolest DELTA SE razors on earth) described it as grand marnier and he is spot on,

 

Update-I found a Dove 4 Men Fresh&Clean, and used it most of the week I was together with my family/relatives. Sadly, I threw it away in the cottage, as I knew TSA would do the same in the airport.

Semogue Owners Club, I've had this brush for a long time, up until today I used it once, I'm not a big boar brush guy, I'm a synthetic fan, well today the SOC was the star of the shave

 

Rockin' that 1908 Gillette Old-Type. I have one of those exact models but Razor Emporium listed it as a '1907' razor. Your 1908 looks like an identical model. I love mine. I think you should try a Wilkinson Sword blade in it. I went through every blade I bought in testing and the Wilkinson Sword did better than anything else by a good margin. I get perfect shaves with it now.

 

Ah, you got Capt. Smythe's Reserve! I have an unopened bottle of that and haven't tried it yet because I'm too wrapped up in Atomic Age Bay Rum's awesomeness to even think about another Bay Rum when I'm in the mood.

Very nice shave with Oleo Excursion. The scent reminds me of one of the Creed fragrances but can't remember which one, fresh aquatic scent. No burning from this particular scent which is great since I had a issue with Treviso. Soap base is excellent and am happy to have a scent from Oleo that works for my skin.

Love the citrusy green tobacco scent of Maximo Gomez cuba, and this newer formula is pretty decent. Whipped up a thick lather in the copper bowl. Scent paired well with Royall Rugby which also has a fresh citrusy vibe to it.

Incredible BBS shave the other day. This Ellegant Rose Soap has become my favorite rose scent (along with WK Chypre Rose Concerto) although English Rose is a bit stronger to my nose. This soap also provides that shiny lather similar to WK, can't help but compare the 2 since the scent and performance are both pretty darn close IMO. Did a bit of baby chasing and was still lucky enough to finish without irritation. This is a soap company I would not hesitate to order from in the future. Wrapped up with YRP which I could still detect the next day, even after a shower!

Nice lather from GD, the scent of Chypre Confiere is a pine, fresh, cologne type of scent. Managed to get a decent shave, skin felt moisturized and well nourished.

Siliski Soaps have worked out quite well IMO. Thick lather with no bubbles, holds a lot of water, and post shave is top notch. Managed to get a crazy BBS shave with no drama, finished off with SC Courage balm. Hope everyone is doing well and getting great shaves!

Not sure why, but B&M seems to be hit or miss with me. Sometimes it whips up a protective lather, and sometimes it looks good but offers little protection, unfortunately today was one of these times. Lots of small nicks and bad irritation, the aftershave burned like hell fire. Had to throw on some Mickey Lee Grand Havana balm to soothe my tender skin. Hope everyone is in good health and getting a1 shaves!

No, an old tub of Stirling I forgot I had. Found it yesterday in a shoebox along with original XXX from RR, Catie's Bubbles Purple Grapefruit, Mystic Waters Coconut Lime Verbana, Sweet Briar and Sardinia Honey and two inexpensive shave brushes; one boar other synthetic.
