Went for a non traditional shave today using shave gel, i still lathered the gel with a brush which is something i highly recommend you do if you're every forced to use gel in a pinch.

I just decided to use gel today because i had two cans sitting in my cupboard and wanted to use up some of my older shaving products first.

The Nivea gel is best lathered with a damp brush, treat it like a cream, and you'll be rewarded with fantastic lather, very slick, and lots of protection, in my opinion gels are far superior to shave foams and some creams but soaps still reign king in my opinion!

The personna lab blues definitely smoothen out after a shave or two, its now plenty sharp and super smooth!

    Razor: Wilkinson sword TTO
    Brush: dischem synthetic
Gel: nivea for men extreme comfort
    Blade: personna lab blue (4)

I wanted a cologne soap and I got this. Then I realized that what I wanted was another one

Tried to trade/sell, no one wanted it. Good they didn't know at T&H: disappointment would have thrown them into the darkest despair!

    I tried it this morning.
Lathers with great ease, but you all know it.
It smells good, and you all know that too. But a little too light a fragrance.
I found it little 'fat': I prefer tallow based soaps.
Maybe a little light for the 39C/Feather combination for my skin, but, overall, pleasant.

And between # 10 and 4711, it was a perfect combination, fit for this horrible summer weather!

Loris "E-178" EdP (== Dior Sauvage).

Comparison Game Changer and modified Rockwell.
(Of the Rockwell base plate the R6 side is removed, such that only the R5 side remains)
Even after 4 shaves I have not been able to discover differences in shaving properties.
Both razors shave comfortably without risk of damage.
The Game Changer is only on other properties in favor: more elegant, lighter, the short sides of the blade don't protude.

Right dandy shave today, all the parts liked each other and worked well together. I think the COB is under appreciated, I always have some on hand and use it weekly. Anyway, my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

I have the 'unchilled' CUBE. I got the Chill Mill so that I could control the amount. That is key for me as menthol isn't really my thing, but I don't mind a lightly cool summer shave. That's what makes the Chill Mill such a great shaving tool.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #340 badger brush. I did two passes with the Kampfe/Star Lather Catcher razor with a CVS CS blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Super Speed/Astra Green day 3
    Stirling Electric Sheep SS
    Dave’s Homemade ASB
    Max Disinfecting AS Splash
    Bleu de Chanel EdP

I absolutely LOVE my Plissoft synthetic brush so much - it takes a soap or cream that’s normally tough to lather and makes it so easy. This Electric Sheep soap buried my face in such rich, slick lather with its beautiful lemony/citronella scent that also has a touch of eucalyptus in it, and it gave me a wonderful postshave feeling thanks to its mutton tallow formula. Dave’s balm is one of the best I’ve ever used in my entire life, and the Max Disinfecting aftershave delivered lots of extra care, and it’s got a nice scent which doesn’t interfere with a fragrance. What a dynamite BBS shave this was!

Tim-I like it. It still has a bit of the original Clubman. It is a nice light masculine scent.
