The Astra blade pretty well crapped out on me during the second pass but miraculously this shave turned out to be BBS albeit with a lot of touching up everywhere. This Polar Vortex soap by itself is fantastic - it’s a pleasure to lather up, and it’s got a wicked menthol sensation but the scent is really nothing to write home about and there’s unfortunately a lack of skincare so that’s the reason why I don’t use it often. The Prep relieved the dryness and irritation right away and the Aqua Velva added its own special icy cold soothing with that nice old school scent that I love so much. By the way, the Polar Vortex soap is made in Canada!

Lilac works well for the heat I think
MW is great if'n you can dial it in.
I can easily with synthetic brushes.
I do struggle with badgers
And don't even try with boars.

Must be something with water volume /timing bkah blah. We've heard it all before. Just another ramble. The soap post shave is wonderful. And I love low profile lathers

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

Stirling Agar today. 20 seconds to load the Whipped Dog Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette 7 O’Clock Green SS in the Gillette Black Handle Flare Tip SS. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Stirling Agar aftershave.

A couple of positives today, after allowing the Ambrosia to breathe indefinitely it's eventually lost the Eau De Tomcat aroma and the Zenith is not hogging the lather quite so much.
I'm very pleased because it's excellent soap and I'm now convinced the brush will release all its lather one day.
