    Almost excellent shave today...

Soap is not the best I ever used, but more than acceptable: I love its scent!

Razor... I use only DE's and this, together with 39 C are my most efficient cutters: the Chuck Norris among my properties!
39 C is smoother and less subject to the blade: a slant's nature, I suppose.
The Rotbart, instead, changes its performance according the blade: up today, the 7 O'Clock Green has been the top.
Feather 's next, but it is not the blade I thought it was. And, obviously, I have a lot of them...

As an aftershave balm, this mysterious Ferragamo branded cream is excellent. I do not have the faintest idea who is the maker and Ferragamo is a shoe maker, so... no hints.
But great also as a 'primer' to EdT!

Maggard Limes & Bergamot today. 20 seconds to load the Maggard 2-Band Badger brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Gillette Silver Blue in the Maggard V2 Open Comb. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Country Club Frozen Vetiver aftershave.

Awesome, but weird shave today. The awesome part was a near BBS using a Thater Cocobolo Two Band (no, you can't have it @wristwatchb), a North Shore Cerakoted Fatboy, an Oleo Montrose Beach sample I'm trying to kill (I can see the ring of death forming!), and Stirling AS. An effortless near BBS shave that makes you go mmmmm afterwards.

What I didn't anticipate is that the smell of the Mostrose Beach would linger long after the shave. It's a really nice pine scent (with other beachy stuff mixed in - kind of like a mountain lake vacation kind of vibe). Assuming the soap to not be a player in how I smelled after the shave, I squirted on some Stirling Grapefruit AS, figuring it to be, as always, a reasonably neutral citrus winner. So... if you are wondering why no soapmaker has come out with a grapefruit and pine scent, I now have olfactory evidence that this is not a good idea. Two great smells that don't go together. The olfactory version of a peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwich as it were. (Which coincidentally sounds like a pre-shave moisturizer that might be used by this group in May, but I digress. Anyway, I am now nasally confused and disoriented for the day.

Sorry. No pics follow. Just confustion.

I thought I'd see how the Hussy performed with a cream.
    Excellently.

    Super Speed/Gillette day 3
    Bundubeard Klipspringer’s Kick SS
    Prep ASB
    Krampert’s Frostbite AS Splash

I really missed my South African soaps so it felt so great to use the Klipspringer today - that beautiful coffee/ peppermint scent, that thick, meringue lather, that nice menthol chill, and that soothing, comfortable postshave feeling. The Prep and Krampert’s Frostbite were such a pleasure afterwards. Another cracker of a shave and so easily!

Day 2 with the Parker combo and it was better than yesterday and yesterday was good. Finding the right angle, etc with the razor and I like it a lot. For me, so far, it's been an easy effective shaver and I like that. My face is very happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shave Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #367 Badger/Boar brush. I did one pass with touch ups with the AutoStrop B1 razor with a Valet AutoStrop blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    SOTD triple post:
Todays SOTD post is three posts in one, i haven't had time to post individual one's this past week or so.

SOTD 1:. A beautiful shave with uncle Jon's pipe smoke, this stuff is absolutely fantastic, and a great performer for sure. Lathers like an absolute bomb, and very slick too. The scent is absolutely remarkable.

    Razor: Wilkinson sword TTO
    Blade: personna lab blue (10)
Brush: Wilkinson sword classic shave premium
    Soap: uncle Jon's pipe smoke
    Aftershave balm: prep

SOTD 2: a fantastic shave with the boots cream, this stuff is one of the slickest creams ive used, and works well as long as you use the correct amount, a large almond sized blob works best for me for three passes. An absolutely fantastic cream.

    Razor: Wilkinson sword TTO
    Blade: personna lab blue (11)
Brush: Wilkinson sword classic shave premium
    Cream: boots cool colgne
    Aftershave balm: prep

SOTD 3: A much better performance from the proraso sapone than i remember, the menthol was absolutely perfect strength wise, and although i still say proraso lacks slickness, it gave me a perfect shave and it has excellent protection, it definitely deserves a re evaluation after my last review where i was quite critical of its performance.

    Razor: Wilkinson sword TTO
    Blade: personna lab blue (12)
Brush: Wilkinson sword classic shave premium
    Soap: proraso sapone (green)
    Aftershave Balm: prep[IMG][IMG][IMG]
