Schick Sunday Shave, June 25th 2023

Razor : Schick Golden 500 injector with hydro magic- Mfg 1957-64, tame mid range. Long handled injector 5 3/8"(unisex razor?), well built to last and feels great in the hand. Personally long handles are aimed at women for shaving their legs is what I figure.
Had a close shave this morning with no issues.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE(6) very sharp, great longevity smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Razorock The Dead Sea, very nice unique scent with excellent lather qualities. On 2 tub of this great soap.
Brush : Yaqi "Lucky dice" 26mm brown whiskers fan synthetic knot, excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. One of my favorite brushes, nice large handle with a quality knot, Won this on the Yaqi live sale.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock The dead Sea AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + 2 small chin weepers= excellent shave with my Schick Golden 500 with a Personna coated blade.

My brother Fernando’s Frosted Bay Rum soap and aftershave have the most beautiful bay rum scent I’ve ever had in my entire life - wowwwwwww!!!!!! The soap is a tallow based treasure with such awesome lather that whips up so easily - it’s so thick, rich, slick as well as protective, it has a helluva strong menthol sensation, and the skincare is so good. The Prep has become my favourite balm - it’s so moisturizing, soothing, as well as cooling, and the Frosted Bay Rum aftershave is witch hazel based so it never stings or burns, and it’s another menthol atom bomb with the same same gorgeous scent as the soap. The brand new Rapira blade helped to ensure another perfect three pass BBS shave that was such a pleasure from start to finish!

The C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream lathered well with the Jayaruh #426 Synthetic brush. I did the first pass with my new SXDGS 5/8 Straight and a second pass with touch ups with the Parker Variant Razor and a Gillette Silver Blue Blade. They gave me a close, comfortable shave. It was my first shave with the SXDGS 5/8 Straight. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Shave of the Week Starting 6/26/2023

The Gem/Gem combo felt very smooth but almost to mild. Had to do an extra pass/touch up to get the results I wanted. Maybe I'm just not familiar enough with this razor/blade combo yet. At any rate, the final results were just dandy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

MMMonday, June 26th, 2023. Micromatic Monday, any ASR razor that uses a Gem blade, any day of the week.

Razor : Micromatic Clog Pruf, Peerless variant (17 nib safety bar) - Mfg 1945, mid range, very well built to last generations, I find this MMCP very easy to find the sweet spot angle and mostly a joy to use. I find this in the middle on the aggression scale of the Micromatic 3 main different variants my preferred it seems for final results.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(7) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest razor blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock "The Dead Sea" very nice unique scent that is one of my best scents I enjoy + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi " Artic Sky" 24mm, 3band silvertip, excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow like soft tips, nice gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. This brush is a very nice splay scrubber with a decent handle also to lather with.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock The Dead Sea AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my MMCP with a coated Gem blade.
