Super hazel vs regular witch hazel! Super hazel definitely has some spark as to compared to the regular Witch Hazel. I think they might of discontinued the bottle version and created the pads. Last bottle of Thayers Superhazel I purchased was about 7 years. I don't remember seeing any more super hazel after that" in bottles ". The pads are great!

Although I’ve been using mostly soaps for quite a while now I still enjoy certain creams and this Williams Menthol is one of them. The scent is so beautiful - it’s minty and old school barbershoppy, just a small dab on both cheeks gives terrific lather, the menthol sensation is at a good middle of the road level, and the skincare is pretty good. The Prep and the Alt Innsbruck aftershave completed the job superbly. Finally the lovely fragrance of the Bleu de Chanel and I’m ready to go. I did just two passes but I had a great BBS shave!

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #426 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Parker Variant Razor and a Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lucky Tiger After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SE SOTD, Friday June 30th 2023

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm with a Yaqi 316 SS polished Milano handle- Mfg 2021>, tame mid range, simple clamping design, small head parts(I assemble under a wash cloth. One of my favorite SE razors, Very nimble to work under the nose area + it just performs well 95%> of the time for myself.
Blade : Schick proline p30 50mm (5) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. Good match for this razor I have concluded.
Soap : Ogallala Bayrum & Sandalwood, nice scented Bayrum with excellent lather qualities. Also one of my favorite soaps.
Brush : Yaqi" Casino clubs " 26 mm timber wolf synthetic knot. Excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, nice gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. This has become one of the best brushes I like to spoil my self with this brush for the few minutes of Zen time.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ogallala Bayrum & Sandalwood AS + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Yaqi Excalibur SE with Schick proline p30.
