I love the look of that brush Gary! How do you like it? I recently purchased my first SOC Boar and it has somewhere around 15-20 shaves on it. I really like it and I expect to enjoy it for years to come.

at first i was surprised on how floppy it was compared to some of my omega boars,but i have really grown to like it.it is well made and well regarded.

The Proraso Red Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #443 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the TNNSER V.1 Razor and a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This Astra Green blade is starting to get a bit dull but it’s still performing quite well and I think it’ll last through the weekend. Abir’s Shepherd soap is awesome - it has such a beautiful scent, it’s vegan based like all his soaps, it lathers like there’s no tomorrow, and thanks to the lavender oil it leaves my skin feeling so soothed as well as relaxed. The Aveeno moisturizer is unscented so it can’t interfere with any fragrance and it works wonders for sensitive skin. The English Leather aftershave smells so old school and wonderful - just the way I love it. Three passes resulted in a great BBS shave that I enjoyed so much!

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur 50mm AC type with a Yaqi Milano 316 polished handle- Mfg 2021>, tame mid range, simple clamping system, small head parts(I work over a wash cloth) + affordable. One of my best razors for shaving, very nimble to work the beard. I get great results 95%> of the time just like this morning with wonderful close comfortable shave.
Blade : Schick Proline (2) sharp & smoooth with reasonable longevity for a AC blade. Good pairing with the Yaqi Excalibur.
Soap : Razorock Irish Countryside, nice unique scent with excellent lather qualities. The more I use it the more enjoy it seems.
Brush : Yaqi "Rainbow" 26mm brown whiskers synthetic, excellent lather generator, Luxury cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. The handle and knot are perfect for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish Countryside with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=Excellent stellar close shave with my Yaqi Excalibur with a Perm-sharp blade.

It was a 2 bade shave today, with 3 days of growth.. I honed two of @lindyhopper66 's blades, and test drove them after. Both delivered silky smooth 2 pass shaves, WTG and ATG, with completely different feels. The ATG on both was just as smooth as the WTG pass. The Thiers-Issard is a thick grind, with an almost Wedge feel to it, and Friodur is a Full Hollow. Typically, I prefer the Full to extra hollow feels, but the Thiers-Issard was more enjoyable. Go Figure. End result was a BBS face, with minor touch-ups. Zero issues. Pardon the picture. The dark sections are just shadows.
