Sunday Schick shave, June 16th 2024

Razor : Schick J1 injector, Mfg 1957-64, mild to tame mid range. Well made and designed to last many generations. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Schick (9) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : La Toja stick, very mild scented soap with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Artic sky" 24mm synthetic knot. Excellent lather generator, Heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Large handle with a soft knot that works well for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Nivea refreshing lotion + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Schick J1 injector with a Schick blade.

The Eskimo Tuxedo Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #452 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick M-2 Adjustable injector razor and the Personna Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Mennen Skin Bracer. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

What a delightful soap and aftershave this Glacial Frozen Tuxedo are - they’re renamed after originally being called Eskimo Tuxedo because of some controversy that unfairly targeted Rod. The scent is absolutely BEAUTIFUL - it’s Green Irish Tweed all the way or Sharp Dressed Man but with killer cold menthol. I had so much joy lathering up the soap and the slickness had my razor skating across my face. The Prep felt so moisturizing as well as soothing and the Glacial Frozen Tuxedo aftershave gave me its frigid menthol kick along with its heavenly scent. Another dynamite three pass BBS shave to start off the week - it was such a pleasure!

Shave of the Week Starting 6/17/2024

Saw that VDH has a couple of new SS and thought I'd try them out. I have used VDH products previously and have had nice shaves with them. This one's a bit different as it didn't make lather as easily as the Luxury or Original but it did make a fine lather that worked well. I'll use this one for the week and report on it later. Initial thoughts are that it's nice and has a pleasant but mild scent. At any rate, mu face is happy. Now go enjoy yoiur day folks.
