    Greetings,

    A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

The Monsavon Au Lait as always provided me with a wonderful protective slick lather for the shave leaving an excellent post shave feel.

The Treet Platinum paired up with the Parker 94R wonderfully. I'll be using the Treet Platinum & Dura Sharp (Carbon) blue pack through out the month, as I find both to be exceptionally smooth & efficient with acceptable longevity and have yet to have any QC issues with both blades

A close comfortable 2 pass +pick ups shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.

It’s unbelievable how similar their soaps are. The ingredients are practically identical, they both have fantastic lather and performance, the slickness from both brands is about the same, and they both give gentle, soothing postshave care.

    Sunday morning:

    King C. Gillette Facial Wash
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Junjie/Wilkinson Sword day 4
Pascale SC (from Bulgaria and nice)
    Gold Bond Moisturizer
    Razorock Don Donato AS Splash

This Pascale cream has been sitting here underneath my bathroom sink for umpteen years so this morning I decided to give it a spin. It’s from Bulgaria and it’s popular all over Central and Eastern Europe. It has a very nice sporty, modern scent, a small dab on both cheeks gives terrific lather that’s so thick, rich, as well as slick, there’s a bit of a menthol sensation, (just a bit!) and it’s got very good skincare. The Gold Bond moisturizer works surprisingly well as a balm, and I finally finished off the Don Donato aftershave. (Would I buy it again? No, the scent doesn’t do it for me) Three passes gave me a helluva good BBS shave despite a tiny weeper near my lower lip. I think I’ll live!

Wishing you all a great Sunday - be well and stay safe![IMG]

    Hi Friends,

Here my Sunday Shave of the Day (02.06.2024)

    IMG_3180.jpeg
Razor: Giesen & Forsthoff 1920 // Blade: Gillette Wilkinson India // Soap: Barrister and Mann Lavanille (Sample) // Brush: Shavemac G5C // Aftershave: Alum - Ach.Brito Lavanda

Today i have used a sample of the B& M Lavanille. A complete different scent to all i have ever smelled before. But in an absolute positive way. I cought me sniffing everytime i saw the tin because it is SO different.

A scent which is definitely hard to describe just because it´s complexity. I smell Lavender and a touch of Vanilla besides some other notes which my untrained nose could not detect. But I LOVE it. So unique and elegant, manly…just unique.

After putting a small amount in my bowl i started to lather up. You do not get voluminous lather like with some other soaps, more of a „yoghurt“ like paste. Adding a bit more water and it becomes a little bit more voluminous but not that much.

The colour of the lather turned from dark brown to nearly white.

Once applied, the lather felt wonderful on the skin. The scent changed quite a bit but i cannot describe it more than before.

Started the shave…the razor glided over my face absolutely effortless. Very smooth. Cushion and glide were absolutely top notch. One of the best i have had so far.

3 passes later the shave was done and left me with a big fat smile. Rinsed my face and used my Alum block. Wow…i just one tiny spot where i got a minor „sting“ but the rest…nothing. As when you would just threw some water on your face. Fantastic.

Wanted with the Aftershave for about an hour because i read that the scent will linger on your skin. Right…almost this hour i still could get some whiffs of the scent. Great. Skinfeel was fantastic so an Aftershave would not have been necessary. Wonderful postshave feeling.

The Lavanda Aftershave is a really nice pairing with the soap.

A 10 out of 10 shave. What else would be possible?

Have a great time, enjoy your shaves and stay safe and healthy.

    Greetings
    Thorsten
