Here my Wednesday Shave (19.06.2024)


Razor: Weber // Blade: Gillette yellow // Soap: Mike ´s Natural Soaps Barber Shop // Brush: Omega 10098 // Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman // Postshave: Pinaud Clubman Talcum Powder

Fantastic shave. The razor in combination with the yellow Gillette is simply wonderful. So smooth and gentle.

A 2-pass BBS shave with a great slick and cushiony lather. The scent is amazing.

After rinsing my face i splashed on the Pinaud Clubman and as that has dried i applied the Talcum Powder which is a really nice addition to this shave.

10 out of 10

The Williams Mug Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #452 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick M-2 Adjustable injector razor and the Personna Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva 5 in 1 After Shave Balm. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Razor : Yaqi 2nd Generation Mellon head 316 SSP + Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2023>, mid range. Excellent design, machining + finish QC. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Polsilver SI(4) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock XXX Fresco(slightly mentholated), nice XXX unique scented with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Artic Sky" 24mm silvertip badger. Excellent lather generator, luxury pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX Fresco with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Mellon 316SSP razor with a Polsilver blade.
