Sunday, June 27th Razor: Merkur Futur Blade: Super Iridium Brush: Simfix Grosvenor Pre-Shave: Musgo Real Glyce Lime Soap: D.R. Harris Marlborough A/S: Speick Splash EDT: Speick I returned to my go-to blade, the Iridium, today and received affirmation. While the Gillette Yellow and Feather are both capable blades, the Super Iridium is the best blade for me hands down. The Harris Marlborough produced a wonderful lather and I enjoyed an excellent BBS shave. The Speick aftershave and EDT was the perfect finish for a warm summer day.
Gold Dollar st8 Arko shave stick :love029 The Dridecker home mentholated M&L FL H2O:anifrozen Best str8 shave yet! I only make 2 passes, N-S and S-N, as I haven't even come close to E-W/W-E yet. I would almost classify this as a BBS shave with the exception of my mustache are being noticeably prickly ATG. Other than that the shave was gr8. Didn't even need touch up with a DE it was so good.:happy108 I'm still making it work with the razor being duller than it should be to be considered "shave ready" but I think I'm good enough now to be able to send it off to get honed and then try it in a "shave ready" state. I get a good shave out of it but I suffer a little on comfort. I'm sure when I get it honed it'll be a much more pleasant experience than it currently is, which isn't all that bad, I just know it could be better.

Since this is shave or shower of the day... I've been using Yardley's Lavender bath soap for the past few days. I like it a lot! Lathers well and smells good, not too overpowering with the lavender, just enough to get the scent. I picked mine up at Walgreens in case anyone is interested.

Sunday night shave Sunday night... Hot shower Parker shavette/Derby Extra blade Gillette SS/ Feather blade (as the cleanup blade) Williams soap VDH boar brush Ogallala Bay Rum Limes and Peppercorns AS Nivea ASB Learned an important lesson today: Parker shavette and Derby Extra blade are a NO GO for me. Cut myself several times. The blade just wouldn't glide, like it wasn't cutting. Its probably not the Williams, I've had good luck with it and the shavette before. Anyway, cleanup with the SS/Feather was great! Feathers just work for me, and in the gentle shaving SS they're great!
Sounds like you got a great shave today!!! Of course it's a combination of things but is there any one proponate that you attribute this super BBS to....??
Hey there Bro. It is a combo of things for sure, but mainly I think that the slippery cushion that the TGQ cream provided allowed me the protection I needed for all of the blade buffing that I did, especially on the lip and chin.
