    Lather: The Copper Hat Island Hopper Shave Soap
    Post: Cold rinse, Alum, Witch hazel, Nivea Sensitive Cooling ASB

    Today's shave wasn't too bad. I really want to like the copper hat soap and support local soap makers, but it's not the greatest soap out there.

    The Arko Stick Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Omega 11137 Boar brush. Two passes with my Gillette Old Type razor and a Voskhod blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, alum block, and a final cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    it is very nice, it smells of rose but also has sort of a liquor-y smell to it.
    I like it. it makes makes think of a cowboy coming to town after being on the trail. ordering a room and hot bath with all the trappings.
    I added it to today's shave just because it's a touch different. the soap commander love is as close to a dozen roses as I could imagine, so I wanted to liquor it up a little.
    I'm gonna replenish the legitima when it runs out, I bought it locally( somewhere around here can't remember where). it was only a couple dollars.

    SCENT: AQUA VELVA FROST LIME


    Had a good 3 pass shave today. I am starting to like the pre shave step but I am not convinced it is necessary. the Tiki soap whips into a great lather fast and has a very unique woodsy scent. there is also frankincense in it which adds some mystery to the scent. The arko cream is nice and soothing and the Aqua Velva Lime was a great end to a great shave!

    I emailed the company. They only sell through distributors and there's not one in my town. I could have ordered a case, but as a blind purchase, I thought better of it.
