    Wednesday Shave
Trying something different...Kinda like a focus, and regular routine type of thing.
First, I did my day off hot towel routine, followed by AOS lavender pre shave oil.
As i let the oil soak in, I added a second hot towel.
Whipped Dog 24mm highmountain badger brush, soaked in hot water 15-20 min.
AOS Sandalwood Shave Cream (love the scent)
    ...razors...
Focus on SR technique and different SRs
    1. Single pass with the grain...new DOVO Ebony Spike 5/8
    ...relather...
    2. Single pass with vintage F.A. Clauberg Halberd 4/8?
    ...NO weepers...nicks, or cuts...
Halberd easy to manouver under nose and jaw line..
    ...relather...
    Finally back to normal...
    3. My go to razor..Muhle R89 DE with Astra Platinum blade (new blade). Against the grain, and clean up of missed SR spots.
Wouldn't you know it, the only time I saw blood was when I pulled out the DE?:angry019::angry032::angry021:
Finish up with cool towel rinse, alum block and Aftershave balm.
    Finished with splash of Brut[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Prep: Hot shower with Neutrogena Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Gillette Black Tip, H. Boker Master Razor straight razor
    Blade: Astra SP (5)
    Brush: Turkish #6
    Soap: L'Occitane - Cade
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave
    Cologne: 1969

Another Darn Fine Shave was had this morning. The #6 brush whipped up the Cade into a thick lather. The Black Tip and the Boker did a great job. The AV and the 1969 were a fine finish.

    Have a blessed day!

image.jpg Razor: Gillette Ball End Tech NDC (declared 1947) Birth Year
    Brush: Whipped Dog 30/45 Silvertip
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Cream/Soap: Truefitt&Hill No 10
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Balm, Tommy Bahamas Martinique
This is my second Truefitt&Hill shave cream and I must say the scent of this one is interesting. I like it but can't quite place what it reminds me of. I love the cushion and slickness, which now is at a #1 rating for me. The Gillette Tech is a nice mild razor for me even with a Feather blade. Very nice two pass shave with some touchup. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup some JB Balm and then some Tommy Bahamas Martinique. Good stuff, a Fathers Day gift from my Daughter. Go get some! Yesterday I found two packs of Feather blades while cleaning my bathroom. There was a time that Feather was my favorite blade, but I switched to Ladas. I decided to open a pack up and use it. 3 passes and very smooth

I had to shave after 3 weeks without shaving (which was hard enough to do, beard itch is awful and should be illegal) and the heat index at 105°F - 109°F having a beard is irrational and uncomfortable.

Prep: Stirling Ozark Mountain Bath Soap
    Razor: Schick Injector Type E
    Blade: Schick (1)
Brush: Chopped Made Rite Finest Badger
    Soap: Stirling Sharp Dressed Man

A great two pass shave. WTG & ATG.

    Solid Wednesbay Shave
I went with Krampert's Bay Rum soap and AS today and got a very good shave. It felt amazing as it happened, but I got a few late appearing weepers after I rinsed. I think I did too much touch up. Either way my face is very smooth and the weepers closed quickly.

    Brush: The Colonel

Comments: I used the Torrey for the first two passes but seemed to miss quite a bit of the beard so I fired up the iKon Deluxe SB with a fresh 7 o'clock yellow and did a pass plus some touch up and ended up with a DFS with no issues at all! No irritation but one weepers on the neck! The iKon Deluxe is a good and pretty aggressive razor which gets the job done and I like that! Sadly once I get my Wolfman's back, the iKon and ATT's plates will probably will go to new homes as I am getting into a few straights and don't need that many DE's. The blade was very good as it seemed both sharp and smooth so no complaints with it. The brush is also the first use and it seems like an okay brush. I think it is some kind of synthetic but not sure. The tips are soft but the rest is kinda stiff but that it probably cause it is new! I will need more time to test it out. This is the my second time with this soap and I like it alot. It is very good soap, great slick lather and protection. I still have no idea what the scent should be as too me it is weak enough where I cannot make it out. Shave was great today!

Please feel free to leave comments on any items used as I enjoy reading them to see what others say about the gear I am using/trying out! Of course, YMMV!

    Thx.
